"Modern accommodations attached to owner garage port with large bathroom (tub and multiple jet shower), bedroom with king bed, basic kitchen (2 burner convection stove top, wet bar style sink with low water pressure), and entrance/living area with TV . Convenient location within a 15-20 minute drive to Carmel by the Sea and Monterey. Closest grocery store is a 10 min drive away. Property backs up to busy Carmel Valley Rd, so expect noise from car traffic, especially during rush hour. Outside facilities (patio, pool, tables, chairs) were not maintained during entire 3 day stay: covered with dust and leaves during entire stay, as well as swarming ants on lower stone patio area. Owner/unit manager Jae was out of town, and husband Bob offered repeated apologies to inconveniences, but nothing more. No air conditioning (as advertised): place was stuffy and 78F at 10pm on day of arrival due to warm weather (high was 81F), and cooled down to 73F by morning. A portable fan would have been an easy solution, but never offered. Be prepared to sleep with all windows open during warmer weather, including bedroom window facing busy street traffic noise. Open wireless internet is very flaky due to the use of a wireless repeater vs direct wired router in room. Overall a decent place, but I would not recommend unless you are willing to put up with the minor issues."Guest: Richard Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 23, 2014View listing
"Overlooking the vineyard on a small parcel. 3 days should do it...vegetable garden and fruit trees. Pool lounging overlooking hillsides. Fireplace and deck make for lovely evenings. We took full advantage of the deep soaker tub. Bring your meat to grill and you won't need to leave."Guest: City dwellers Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 23, 2014View listing
"I stayed in Mort & Julie's cabin for a quiet weekend away from LA. I arrived super late after getting held up at work & they had waited up for me. The cabin is just what I was looking for...cozy & quiet. It is right next to Garland Ranch Park which was nice for hiking. It was a perfectly relaxing, refreshing weekend. Mort & Julie were incredibly gracious hosts during my stay. Plus, I was able to bring my dog which always makes me happy :)"Guest: Star Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 4, 2014View listing
"We stayed 3 nights at the guest house and it was the perfect place for a long weekend. Very laid back, gorgeous view and comfortable/clean home. Nestled in the hills, we slept soundly and woke up refreshed with a great view to start our day. Whether you're heading to Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey or just down the street to Carmel Valley this spot makes it easy to enjoy it all. We would love to come back again :)"Guest: KayaB Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 7, 2014View listing
