  • A1 Top Class Vacation Home

"Upon arrival we were completely blown away. This is a real vacation 'home'. Absolutely nothing has been overlooked down the the smallest details. The sun rises over the lush green hills to the rear and sets over the ocean out front. The gardens are beautiful and the various outdoor seating areas are comfortable and spacious. As a family we particularly enjoyed the generous living areas with comfortable furnishings, the bedrooms with real beds - all very large and comfortable; and the fully equipped kitchen - with more utensils than you can imagine. The washing machine and tumble dryer facilities actually turned doing the laundry into a treat. We snuggled up in the warm throws to watch the early morning surfers and the regular visits from the humming birds right outside the lounge window and had some fun 'family games nigts' from the well stocked cupboard. The weather during our stay was a bit on the cool side so unfortunately we didnt get to use the selection of beach toys available. The house is all on one level and therefore suitable for elderly and disabled visitors (one or two steps ) but there are easy alternative access points. The house is located in a quiet flat area and walking paths are close by. We walked into downtown Morro Bay along the beach and back again along the dedicated paths, it was very pleasant and enjoyable. If your feeling less energetic the local transport has a pickup / drop off point right outside the house. There are plenty of places to eat out - if you can tear yourself away from the house. We did most of our shopping at Albertsons grocery store - it has everything. Including a bakery, fish counter, excellent wine selection and Starbucks. This home is thoughtfully furnished and adds to the overall comfort of your stay. Anything else we could say about this home is all good! Sparkling clean and super comfortable - it's all good!. We absolutely did not want to leave and hope to return someday. Booking process and provision of information prior to arrival was smooth and easy. Thank you very much to the homeowners for making this vacation possible."

  • Perfect location! Perfect views!

"A week at the beach just before school started with 3 grandkids, ages 15, 10, and 6. It was just perfect. This tiny house had it all, views, short walk to beach, bikes and beach equipment in garage, hot tub to warm up in after watching the sunset. The photoes were accurate. The house was easy to keep neat and clean. The kitchen had a killer view and great knives, pots and appliances. The outdoor area is very private from the very quiet street. One bedroom was a lovely room across the garden, without a bathroom but perfect for 2 nights for my grandkids parents. It would be great for teens. I would give this house a 5 star rating if the bathroom was updated--shower was small and in need of replacement. My 15 year old granddaughter only took 2 showers, rather than the usual daily shower! The location is perfect: lovely small beach with surfers, seals, otters, whale-sightings, and beach fires at night. Just a 2 mile walk or bike ride to Capitola. A couple of blocks from the famous Pleasure Point - surfers paradise. Food and mall shopping nearby. We rode bikes most days. We took a whale watching trip from the nearby harbor on Stagnaros boat. Saw more whales than I ever expected, great captain and naturalist. A visit to the Seymore Marine center near UC was wonderful for the kids, touched a shark (very tiny shark). Lucky for me the parents took the kids to the famous boardwalk. I cannot wait for next summer and returning to this sweet little place!"

  • Great House for lots of People

"This house was great for large groups of people. It had multiple decks, an outdoor fire pit/barbeque, lots of seating, etc. The location was a little out-of-the-way but it is only about 25 min. from Monterey and 10 minutes from the nearest Starbucks. The property needs a little love and the house is an odd mix of new and old decor with a bunch of chickens/roosters thrown in. The pluses: great for lots of people, a BIG, roomy house, great outside areas, lots of parking. The minuses: the refrigerator was extremely fishy-smelling, most of the halogen lights were burnt out in the kitchen, the WiFi was sketchy at best, the shower in the hall has no water pressure, no spatulas (for the barbeque or anywhere), and at some point, the receiver must have disappeared because there are speakers but nothing connected to them."

  • California escape

"A wonderful private cottage on a quiet residential street. Beautiful gardens with lemon, pomegranate and orange trees--around a wonderful sitting/eating area--perfect for breakfast, light lunch or pre-dinner drinks. Cottage was immaculate, well equipped and very comfortable. While it would have been nice to be within walking distance of downtown SLO, it was a very short drive and parking along the streets is free after 6 pm so good for dinner and evening strolls."
