"A Room with a View is the perfect place for peace and quiet. The unit was SUPER clean, which is so very important to us. The bed and linens were so comfortable. If you like to walk this is the perfect place. Grocery store, restaurants, and beach are within walking distance. If you aren't up to walking, parking in town is easy to find if you can parallel park!"Guest: Mac Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 28, 2014View listing
"This little one bedroom cottage is terrific. Tucked in behind the main house on a quiet street it offers a spacious, comfortable and very convenient place from which to access the attractions of Monterey. There is a major shopping centre a short walk away including a wholefoods store. The wharf and shops and cafes are quite walk-able, but you might want to drive to the aquarium. (we walked, but we were glad to catch a lift back). We were staying with our adult son and there was plenty of space for all of us without feeling cramped. All in all - highly recommended!"Guest: Philip D. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 30, 2014View listing
"We just spent 3 days here and loved it! It's a great house, very close to the beach and the boardwalk, my family and I had a great time. It's very nice and very clean and the owner is a great guy. We'd love to rent it again when we're down that way!"Guest: Jill Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 22, 2014View listing
"Perfect spot for two families traveling together, everyone had their own "space". Each adult/couple had their own room and the teens piled in to the loft. We had friends coming and going for a day at the boardwalk and the kids could walk to and from as they wished. We're all looking forward to a return trip next year!"Guest: Heather W. Oceano Travel Tips
Book Oceano Vacation Rentals near the Beach
The beach in Oceano is the only state park in California where visitors are allowed to drive vehicles on the beach. The Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area is 1500 acres of coastal sand dunes, making it a beach like nothing you’ve ever experienced. The dunes are a great place to play during the day, and they make for great views from the vacation rental you found on VRBO.com. Activities just outside the door of your vacation rental includes ATV riding, swimming, clamming, surfing, surf fishing, hiking, and bird watching.
Take in the Area’s Culture near Oceano Lodging
Oceano features the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, a live nightly performance in town that entertains tourists from all over the world. No matter the season, the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville company performs for crowds of all ages and brings every guest to a belly laugh. When you stay in Oceano lodging, look up the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville for a night you won’t soon forget.
Oceano Casino Entertains

Where to Shop and Dine in Oceano
If retail therapy is needed during your vacation to Oceano, take time to browse all of the wonderful shops in town, and then sit down at a nearby restaurant for some of the local’s favorite dishes. Popular restaurants in Oceano include Girls Restaurant, Golden Gong, and Doughboy’s Pizzeria. If you have leftovers, take them back to your Oceano vacation rental to enjoy the next day. That’s just another benefit to staying in a vacation home instead of a hotel.
