  • Great house in SLO

"The owner was very easy to reach we had no trouble accessing the house. Renters need to know that you do not have access to the entire home (the master bedroom and bath is locked separately), but the two bedrooms and one and a half baths are work well for up to 4 people. The outdoor seating areas are great for relaxing as is the upstairs and downstairs common areas. All in all, this is a comfortable home with great access to downtown San Luis and the surrounding areas."

  • Great Place

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is adorable and stocked with all the basics kitchen necessities as well as books, movies and games to entertain guests. Our 3 children ages 6, 8,and 10 absolutely loved the fort as well as the in ground trampoline. The kiddos enjoyed having their little loft in the cottage to hang out in as well. Plenty of room in the loft to comfortably sleep 3 children. Location was great just 15-20 min. away from our family and the beach in Marina. We enjoyed not staying in a hotel with 3 children and having the yard for the kids to play in. In fact they wanted to pass on the beach so that they could get back to the cottage sooner to play! Paul and Rori were fantastic. Very warm and inviting even bringing us homemade chocolate chip cookies when we arrived, which by the way were amazing. They also invited us out to the fire to roast marshmallows and make smores, which of course we could not refuse. No doubt this will be our spot when we travel back to visit family. Thanks Rori and Paul for your hostility."

  • Perfect little cottage!

"Under The Oaks was a perfect little cottage for our stay in Paso Robles. We loved the huge yard and relaxing atmosphere. The house was comfortable and well appointed. It would be my first choice if I have an opportunity to go back to the area!"

  • Great place to stay

"My husband and I stayed 2 nights with our 3 kids. Had a great weekend. Very comfortable and clean flat. Not super fancy but nice, cute, cozy and perfect for our family. Plenty of room for all of us. Our kids enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony. Owner was very nice and accommodating. Great location. 2 blocks from the beach and even closer to deli, coffee shop and restaurant."

Oceano Travel Tips

Book Oceano Vacation Rentals near the Beach

The beach in Oceano is the only state park in California where visitors are allowed to drive vehicles on the beach. The Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area is 1500 acres of coastal sand dunes, making it a beach like nothing you’ve ever experienced. The dunes are a great place to play during the day, and they make for great views from the vacation rental you found on VRBO.com. Activities just outside the door of your vacation rental includes ATV riding, swimming, clamming, surfing, surf fishing, hiking, and bird watching.

Take in the Area’s Culture near Oceano Lodging

Oceano features the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, a live nightly performance in town that entertains tourists from all over the world. No matter the season, the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville company performs for crowds of all ages and brings every guest to a belly laugh. When you stay in Oceano lodging, look up the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville for a night you won’t soon forget.

Oceano Casino Entertains

If you’re looking for a change of pace from all the outdoor fun to be had in Oceano, check out the Oceano Casino. This beautiful facility, found near California Central Coast vacation homes, welcomes tourists and locals to have a great time and maybe even make a few extra bucks while you’re there.

Where to Shop and Dine in Oceano

If retail therapy is needed during your vacation to Oceano, take time to browse all of the wonderful shops in town, and then sit down at a nearby restaurant for some of the local’s favorite dishes. Popular restaurants in Oceano include Girls Restaurant, Golden Gong, and Doughboy’s Pizzeria. If you have leftovers, take them back to your Oceano vacation rental to enjoy the next day. That’s just another benefit to staying in a vacation home instead of a hotel.
