  • Magical, Tropical Paradise

"This house is even more amazing than the photographs, as difficult as that is to believe! From the second we walked on the property, it felt like we were in an exotic island. It truly felt like a dream. My fiance and I arranged a weekend away with 13 other of our best friends in Ojai for some pre-wedding festivities. After a nightmare of a scam with another company (Ojai Vacation Center), I contacted Lisa who was AMAZING and helpful and recommended we check out Rolling Thunder Ranch. From the posted photos, we could tell the home was going to be perfect. When we arrived, we quickly realized it was SO MUCH MORE than perfect; it was an absolute DREAM. Lisa and her assistant were there to greet us, and gave us a tour of the entire property. My fiance and I were basically in disbelief that we would be staying there, and all our friends had the same reaction. From the huge bedrooms (15 people slept there COMFORTABLY), to the rock shower in the master bedroom, the POOL (omg the pool), the jacuzzis (TWO), the barbecues, the hammocks, the garden, the tiki torches... absolutely everything.. I don't know what to say except this place is UNREAL. We left the house once to go have dinner, and all we wanted to do was get right back to it. No need to leave this house AT ALL. Everything you could possibly want while in Ojai is on the property. I can't recommend this home enough. After being scammed by another company, I was skeptical at the idea of renting a VRBO (this was my first rental). Lisa reassured us, checked in with us, and made sure that the entire process from start to finish was just as wonderful as the house. I could go on and on about this place. More than enough towels and linens, a stocked kitchen with all the necessities, inflatable pool rafts, Foosball table, the list goes on. To sum up: if you POSSIBLY have an opportunity to stay in this home, take it. It is the most magical place we've ever stayed! We're hoping to go back one day in the future :)"

  • Perfect!

"This place was perfect for my family, as it was walking distance to the wedding celebration they came to attend. Not only that, the casitas are beautiful and thoughtfully appointed so that the ambiance is restful. The landscaping lends to privacy and aesthetics; the owner was very accommodating and went over and beyond her "duties" and opened her home to us. Highly recommend for a relaxing and beautiful stay."

  • Great honeymoon spot!

"My new husband and I stayed at the casita for a few days after our crazy wedding week, before we had to go back to work! It was exactly what we needed: private, quiet, peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Carolyn was helpful and accommodating and we loved the extra little touches (like the chocolates and the bottles of cold water and wine in the fridge! The casita was clean and well-maintained, easy to find, easy to access and was very close to all the places we wanted to be, and I especially loved relaxing by the pool in the peace and quiet! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Carolyn!"

  • Fabulous family vacation home

"This house and surrounding scenic grounds provided the perfect base for my two adult kids and me to spend time together reconnecting and luxuriating in the beauty of the sunsets against the mountains that defined the back of the property. It was an easy walk to town, and everyone was so friendly. Be sure not to miss the weekly outdoor market on Saturdays or the Ojai Valley Museum. This was my first VRBO rental, and I was a bit anxious about it, but Sherry, the owner, was easy to work with and everything was as represented. I would definitely return, and I highly recommend this property."
