"My daughter and I were very comfortable at Stell's lovely place in Ojai. It is set in a gorgeous yard surrounded by fruit trees and roses, on a quiet street. The bed was really comfortable and the place was spotless. Stell, the owner, was great- she even made sure we had two bikes and helmets for riding the bike trail. I highly recommend this adorable bungalow, and Stell is a stellar host!"

"The bad news was that it rained the whole time during our stay at the Rolling Thunder Ranch The good news was that it didn't really matter. We had a group of 20 of us (people slept on air mattresses) that decided on this secluded location for a weekend getaway. We were not disappointed one bit. The place is exactly like the pictures. There are tons of different areas to escape to and the grounds are maintained perfectly. Only downfall is that the pool isn't heated. That would be literally my only complaint. Lisa was VERY responsive and answered emails promptly. Carla, Lisa's assistant, was amazing. TONS of firewood for the grill and various firepits. Outdoor fuse ball was a hit. Hiking across the street is fun. I will definitely be returning."

"My college roommate and I (from 1965) enjoyed five great days in Ojai and this property was wonderful. The location is great, walking distance to great grocery store, the museum and main street; it is very well stocked with all the requisite kitchen and bath stuff you would need; cozy and hospitable and full of interesting art by the owner. We spent a lot of time at the house in the backyard listening to the bubbling fountain, drinking wine and chatting. Debra was helpful and accessible.....all in all, fabulous!"

Hummingbirds Abound, Morning Sun on Mountains, Quiet, Beautiful Abode!
"Three of us stayed here in May and literally, when each of us arrived (separately) we spent the first few minutes walking around this gem saying "Wow. Wow! Wow!!!" We were in town for a 3 day workshop and found ourselves rising with the dawn to meditate on the porch and drink in every beautiful minute in this nature haven. I was delighted to walk right out the door in the morning onto the Shelf Trail that rims Ojai Valley. Bring your walking shoes - Pratt Trail, 1/2 mile walk is also well-worth exploring, and the grocery store and many delicious restaurants are an easy 15 minute walk down the hill to town and back up. What a joy to find so many thoughtful and welcoming touches inside, too...fresh flowers, an urn with several gallons of filtered drinking water, a well-equipped kitchen & bath, comfy beds, plenty of closets, drawers and hangers provided, fun 50's classic furniture and lamps, field guides on the bookshelf and so much more. Surprisingly spacious feeling for a small space. The queen bed in the open-floor-plan room becomes a peaceful sleep space when the curtains round it are drawn. The little bedroom on the side of the studio is a gem in itself - lie in bed and look right out over the valley. Many thanks to our kind and generous hosts!"
