  • Perfect location and amenities in Paso

"This was my first VRBO experience and so I was somewhat cautious, particularly since my parents were also staying with us. Thankfully the experience exceeded my expectations and we will return to this spot when our travels bring us to the central coast again. Four of us (2 - 30 somethings with 2 - 60 somethings) spent 4 nights here and the accommodations were excellent for experiencing all that Paso had to offer. Here are the most positives for this rental unit. Excellent communication with the owner - prior to rental all my questions were promptly answered. We also requested a duplicate key during our stay and that was promptly provided. Very clean unit from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the living room areas. Fabulous location - we enjoyed walking to the old town square area for some great meals. Good wifi connectivity. A fully stocked kitchen if you want to enjoy your wine on the deck and relax for dinner at home. It was wonderful to have a private garage for our vehicle. Beyond that, the place was nicely furnished and seemed to have all we needed for our short visit to wine country. Here are the negatives of the place. The 2 bedroom unit is on the second floor, so if stairs are hard for you, be warned. You must walk up one flight of stairs to access your unit. That was no problem for us, but may cause some people problems. We did request replacement light bulbs that were burned out in a bathroom. It wasn't a huge inconvenience, but they weren't replaced during our stay. Like I mentioned earlier, this will be our first choice for accommodations on a return trip to Paso. Thanks for a great VRBO experience."

  • Annual Girls Getaway

"What a wonderful home to stay in during our annual girls getaway. The backyard was in full bloom with an amazing array of flowers and plants. We had many delicious meals out on the inviting patio. We were provided an extra propane tank for the BBQ which we appreciated very much. The kitchen had everything for our purposes of cooking and sharing the abundance of food we all brought. During those times, the great sounding stereo & variety of books provided much entertainment. The Alphabet Coffee Cups were a fun conversation piece. All the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for all of us to visit with each other in various portions of the house. We had close access to shopping, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed every minute and hope to come back with the same group for an awesome do-over!"

  • Unique elevated cottage in natural surroundings yet close to town and beach.

"We loved our four day stay in this old wooden house on a wooded slope to the West of the beautiful and interesting town of Santa Barbara, with its historical sites, excellent beaches and nearby forest trails. The air was clean and we ate nearly all our meals outside: breakfast on the driveway to the east of the cottage and other meals on the private wooden veranda at the other side. The views were terrific. At night we saw skunks - cute looking animals that we don't get in the UK. Happily, we didn't smell them! The beds and bathroom facilities were clean, comfortable and all that we could have wished for at this price in Santa Barbara. The kitchen is compact, but most of our cooking was done on the very convenient gas barbecue on the veranda. Sharon was extremely hospitable and easy to communicate with before our stay. I was only sorry that she had to leave the day after we arrived, as I would have liked to talk to her more. In her absence, her children also went out of their way to help us. We felt trusted and would trust Sharon and her family with our own home if they ever came our way."
