"We stayed at The Mermaid's Perch in June 2015 - wow, what a nice surprise! This is just like a home-away-from-home - has everything we needed and more for a wonderful 5 days
at the beach. The condo is surprisingly big, sleeping 6. Downstairs has one room with two twin beds, the other room has a king and the bedroom upstairs has a queen.
Sleeping with the window and/or sliding glass door open allowed us to listen to the ocean all night long. There is steam shower upstairs - what a treat! There are even blow
dryers there so don't bother packing one of those. We had a problem with the wifi when we first got there - we contacted the owner and got permission to reboot the router
and that fixed it. Do not hesitate to contact the owner for any issues you may have - they are very responsive and helpful. The condo has a washer and dryer.
The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare meals. As other reviewers have noted the view from the balcony is spectacular. My opinion is it is probably the best view on
that beach. It is at the top of the hill so overlooks more beach than most of the other condos/homes in that area. Speaking of the hill, that is the only downside. You
need to be relatively young/healthy to walk that hill. It is only about 300 yards (guestimation) but it is pretty steep. However, if you walk a few miles on the beach you
can always stop at the Rio Cafe for a beverage/meal before climbing back up the hill to the condo. The food at the Rio Cafe is superb and the people there are great - a good
mix of locals and vacationers.
There is parking for two cars at the condo, more if you are willing to park down by the beach. It is a walk from there to the condo though."

"We stayed at this lovely home while celebrating our son's marriage at a local venue. The house is spacious and very well appointed. The oversized round chair which looks out at an amazing bay view became a coveted spot to relax amongst those who stayed for the weekend. 3 large bedrooms and bathrooms, and 2 spacious living areas with TV's allowed us all to spread out when desired. We hope to revisit in the years to come!"

"The property and amenities are exactly as shown in the photos. The location was perfect for our golf weekend. Our group had three vehicles and found no problems parking in the quiet neighborhood. The sleeping arrangements worked wonderfully for our 6 adults, including 2 very comfortable bunk beds! The home was well equipped with utensils, dishes and cookware. We enjoyed the layout of the living area which opened onto a small deck, our favorite hangout. Diana was so pleasant to work with and very accommodating with our many questions. This beach house is certainly on our return visit list!"

"We had a great long weekend at this beautiful townhouse. The house was as described with the cutest little fenced in front patio and upstairs balcony with lots of privacy. We loved sitting out and listening to the sounds of the sea! The bed was very comfortable and amenities were as listed. The house was clean and well-maintained. Marianina was absolutely wonderful to work with and was considerate with allowing my pets and adding an extra day at the last minute. We loved being one block back from the beach and took plenty of beach walks on the sand and the walkway and to local restaurants for breakfast and lunch. We also took the short drive to Nicene Park with lovely redwood trails. Santa Cruz was conveniently close and we were able to relive our old days at UCSC. Overall, an absolutely wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends."
