"This beach house is in the wonderful Rio Del Mar neighborhood! It truly is a very short and safe stroll to the beach as I was consumed with the smell of eucalyptus trees and saltwater from the ocean, the sounds of the ducks quacking in the creek, and taking in the sights of the other beach houses, beach-goers, and, of course, the view of the Pacific Ocean. I have had the blessing of coming to Aptos over the years and have stayed in other beach house rentals in Rio Del Mar. This is my favorite and I am a repeat visitor. The owners have recently upgraded the flooring in the bedrooms from carpeting to a lovely laminate hardwood flooring which compliments the tile floors throughout the home! Additionally, the living room furniture was upgraded as well since my last visit. Now, there is a spacious, comfy, sectional sofa along with another large sofa that surrounds the fireplace and makes for easy viewing of the television with cable and the big front picture windows to watch the beach-goers stroll by. The kitchen is equipped with lots of utensils, cookware, dishes, glassware, pots and pans! The new gas stove/oven works great!!! What I appreciate is the overall cleanliness and the attention to detail from the property owners: great directions on how everything works, including the lights, fans, internet connections, cable t.v., vcr, dvd, lots of towels, pillows, extra bedding, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage/recycle bags, coffee filters, detergent, bbq, boogie boards and the best part is you and your family arrive with the sheets and beds already made up which is included in the weekly rental fee. I totally appreciate the fact that Brian adds an extra day based on the number of days you rent the beach house. It truly makes it a good deal especially if you are a family that travels with your pet, which we do!!! This beach house is minutes from great shopping, restaurants, movie theater, etc. if you want to drive. If not, take a stroll and you can enjoy Cafe Rio, Flats Bistro, Pixie Deli and there is a bottle shop that sells everything. If you are a bit more adventurous you can walk down to Seacliff Beach (cement ship/pier) and go up the stairs/entrance road and enjoy the lunch/dinner at Manuel's, Pizza 1, the Sno-White Drive-In, and ice cream at Marianne's! The walk back burns off the calories!"
