  • Corporate Sales Retreat and TeamBuilding

"We came here with our entire sales staff to relax, bond and work on our 2015 game plan. Upon arrival the surroundings relaxed us right away. It is as if you are so far from civilization but with all the amenities. The house was spacious and accommodated all 13 of us well with room to spare. The common areas were big enough for us to hold our meetings and the kitchen was big enough for us to cook. Each room was decorated very nicely. We were a bit surprised by the mineral water running throughout the house, but adjusted to it quickly. Michiko provided purified water near every sink in anticipation. She was very helpful and even took our group photo before we left. The sauna and spa were definitely the highlights and we even tried the horse shoes and used the basketball court. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to be surrounded by nature and needs a break from the hustle and bustle of the world. I would definitely return."

  • Relax in the beauty and tranquility of rural California

"The Windmill House, easily accomodated our family of 6 adults, 2 five year olds and a baby ( we brought our own play n pack). The house was spotless, very comfortable, cheerful with lots of natural light and very well equiped. We are sorry that we were unable to stay longer and explore all the vineyards in the area. We were only there for two nights to attend a wedding at Rancho Santa Margarita. Berenice left us some fresh eggs from her neighbor, sparkling California champagne and many two for one wine tasting invitations, which alas, we did not have time to use. Our best advice if you stay at the Windmill House is to stay longer than we did."

  • Christmas Bliss

"We spent four nights across Christmas at this wonderfully comfortable and charming farmhouse, and although it was too cold to enjoy the porches, the indoor space was perfectly cozy whether at the kitchen table or in the living room. There is a rooster on the property and he fulfills the pre-dawn duties with diligence. It was not a problem for us but a light sleeper might find it annoying. Cooking in the farmhouse kitchen was no problem, as it was amply stocked with dishes and cookware, and the gas stove was easy to use. The home is beautifully decorated, with little surprises on every shelf. Beds are super-comfortable, with luxury linens, plenty of blankets, and more pillows than you could use. Pattea added some Christmas decor to give the house holiday spirit, which was perfectly suited to the rest of the home. Probably the most delightful vacation rental home we've ever had. Thank you to Pattea for making our stay perfect. We can't wait to come back!"
