  • Great Experience for City Kids

"I rented this house with my three kids, who I hoped would be able to have some grand adventures on the surrounding 400 acres of land. I was not disappointed. The house has a lot of character and is totally comfortable. Outside, my daughter spent hours bird-watching and taking photos, and all of us went on fantastic hikes each day we were there. A really special property that I would definitely rent again."

  • !!!

"Spectacularly lovely views - we couldn't make up our minds whether to love the ocean side view or the rolling green hill view - so en group, moved several times so as to take in both. The house is eclectically perfect in it's art, layout, comfort and necessaries. It feels both fancy and homey all at once. The small things like the star jasmine planted on the patio for the scent; the cute touches like the art-wire unicorn on the wall...and the kitchen had all the things! There was absolutely nothing to complain about and so many things to cheer about. Can't wait to visit again!"

  • Relax in the beauty and tranquility of rural California

"The Windmill House, easily accomodated our family of 6 adults, 2 five year olds and a baby ( we brought our own play n pack). The house was spotless, very comfortable, cheerful with lots of natural light and very well equiped. We are sorry that we were unable to stay longer and explore all the vineyards in the area. We were only there for two nights to attend a wedding at Rancho Santa Margarita. Berenice left us some fresh eggs from her neighbor, sparkling California champagne and many two for one wine tasting invitations, which alas, we did not have time to use. Our best advice if you stay at the Windmill House is to stay longer than we did."

  • Charming house in a beautiful town

"My husband, two daughters and I were only able to stay a couple of days in this beautiful little house, but had a wonderful stay and felt thoroughly comfortable the whole time. The house is even more charming in person, with a wonderfully cozy fireplace for cool mornings, lovely courtyard, front porch, comfortable beds and all of the necessities. Jamie is a thoughtful hostess indeed. We enjoyed a coffee shop just a few blocks away and some restaurants and shops downtown. If we hadn't been taking advantage of lazy vacation days, we might've cooked more than breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen! Our whole family agreed that the property was far superior to staying in hotel rooms - once you've seen one, you've seen most. If the photos/description intrigue you, you won't be disappointed. It was everything promised and more. Thank you Jamie!"
