Perfect Home Away from Home
"My Aunt was visiting from out of town and our family decided to enjoy some time in Santa Barbara to do some wine tasting and sight-seeing. The pictures in the listing looked great so we decided to book this home. What can I say that hasn't been said in the previous 5 star reviews? The home was amazing, and the already beautiful pictures didn't do this place justice. Everything about the home, from the furniture to the outdoor landscaping was picturesque. We all felt right at home as the property was very inviting and cozy. The homeowner deserves as 5 star rating also, as she made sure all of our concerns were taken care of. She was friendly, easily accessible, and anticipated all of our needs. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience in Montecito/Santa Barbara. We will definitely return in the future."

"Traveling to Santa Barbara for a family wedding, nine adults stayed in this home. The pictures provided do not do it justice. Beautiful home and beautiful view of the ocean. Well stocked with anything you might need. The home has several levels which allowed for private time if desired as well as plenty of room for all to gather. We were somewhat reluctant to be a little south of Santa Barbara (2-3 miles) but were very glad we did. It was more quiet and away from all the people and traffic. The owner was very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely rent again."

"We stayed for the weekend with our adult daughters, and I'm happy to know we have such a sweet spot to land when we come back to Montecito. The cottage is ... well a cottage, and so not large, but the space is not at all tight. The rooms are open and light, with a fairytale forest feeling from the mature plants and shady garden. My first thought upon entering was that it was the house I'd dreamed of owning when I was young. The bed was comfy (I didn't ask about the sleeper sofa, but the girls didn't complain), there was room to sit together and play games, eat a meal at ease around the table, and lounge about with books on easy chairs. I loved the soft air moving through the sheer curtains, and the protected quiet feel of the night. The owner is unobtrusive, friendly, and responsive."

"If you're looking for a great gathering place for family right on the sand, this is the place. From the large upper deck to a generous supply of beds and quality linens, this place has it all. Perfect view, excellent location, quiet beach. Honestly, I can't imagine a better set-up than his charming home. There are a couple of things we weren't expecting. First, the house looks nothing like the painting featured on the website (other than being blue and white). There is no interior staircase. The lower two bedrooms require a trip outside and down the steps. Not a big deal but I pictured easier access. Plus, the appliances are a bit dated/small for heavy use. However, if you plan to just warm up items or cook small quantities, there shouldn't be a problem. But I have never seen a better supply of cookware, serving pieces, utensils and glassware in any home, rental or otherwise. As with any house built in the 30s there are typical signs of age but the owner is taking obvious steps to stay on top of these (ie. plantation shutters are gradually replacing originals) but the charm far exceeds any minor annoyances. Plus, the rooftop deck alone (also not mentioned in the listing) with its large BBQ, lounge chairs and tables would make renting this property well worth it."
