"We had a problem with maintenance at our arrival, but after a phone call to Sunny, she arrived immediately and took care of it.
The unit was a very pleasant surprise and we enjoyed our stay, we loved the location and the parking was a nice bonus.
Walking distance to State Street but not too close as to be bothered by the noise.
Overall ... great place, bring some supplies like kitchen towels, tissue paper, table cloth (dining room table top is glass)
I would like to see the comforter replaced as it is stained and new pillows (same issue) or at least cover them with pillow case protectors ... there are plenty of towels and the bathroom shower is great, loved the sink and the 1/2 bath downstairs. Stairs are pretty steep, I would not recommend this for people with difficulties walking, but this is a great place for a romantic get away or an active couple who wants to leave the car behind.
You can book with confidence ... emails and phone calls are answered promptly and security deposit returned within 48 hours.
I definitely will consider booking again on our next trip to Santa Barbara"

"We stayed two nights, and chose Painted Pony bungalow largely due to its proximity to the Santa Barbara Bowl as we were attending a concert. It was a very easy walk to the Bowl. The neighborhood is charming, quiet and safe. It is also within walking distance (4-5 blocks) to State St., the main entertainment/restaurant area of Santa Barbara. The bungalow itself is also very charming, built 1917 but fully modernized with cable TV, a music setup, and high speed internet. While we didn't eat in, there is a very nice fully equipped kitchen, as well as a gas BBQ. The backyard is very private with trees/bushes shielding neighbors, and there is a large hot tub. There is a mom & pop corner story just a block away, where we got some snacks and newspapers. Beds quite comfortable, and bathroom well appointed, and has a nice shower (important to me!). This will be out "go to" place when we're in SB, especially when with have Bowl tickets. I highly recommend Painted Pony for a quiet unit that is also within walking distance to most SB attractions."

"My boyfriend and i spent 6 nights in this cottage and enjoyed it immensely! Very cozy and it is well-stocked with everything one needs. Enjoyed the porch and beautiful greenery - lots of succulents and cacti. It's also walking district to State St. but I would recommend a car to get to the beach. Thanks to Barbara and Russ for a delightful vacation!"

"We had a great three night stay at this cottage. The location is great, just a few blocks from State Street in a nice neighborhood. We did not have a car but there's easy access to public transportation. The house itself is remodeled and nicely decorated with an open floor plan. Very comfortable for two couples. The kitchen is fully equipped. We especially enjoyed the back patio with an enclosed, very private backyard. The owner is friendly, responsive and accommodating. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we have another opportunity to visit Santa Barbara."
