Great home for multigenerational family get together
"We rented Chris's home to get our family together for a major anniversary. It proved to be a first class decision with plenty of space to avoid treading on each others toes and stacks of entertainment possibilities. There is a superb pool (heavily used), spa and barbeque within a very pleasant and well maintained fenced garden. Age range in our group was 2 - 72 there were no complaints. Landlord Chris was very helpful but not obtrusive.
The house is in a very pleasant quiet suburb within easy reach of the town. We have no hesitation recommending this home to any group wanting to spend some time in Santa Barbara."

"House is small but has everything you'd need for a nice stay. Kitchen is well planned and stackable washer/dryer in kitchen was appreciated. Very walkable to downtown and SB Bowl. Bathroom is tight and would be hard with more than 2-3 people, but everything worked and we had enough room for hanging towels and our toiletries. Wi-if worked great and hot-tub was a nice bonus (used once, at least). Parking was no problem.
We were in town to look for an apartment for our college-aged daughter and this house was the perfect home-base for the four days. Peggy and Eric were great (met both) and would recommend the house for a few people. Do note that there is no a/c - fans were provided and ample for the hot spell while we were in town."

We miss the view that makes you feel you're in Tuscany, the sound of church bells and windchimes
"Staying at Brenda's house was a treat. We felt so lucky to be allowed to stay there and honoured that she would trust us with her home, a very special place.
First of all, the view of Santa Barbara with it's white stucco buildings and terracotta roofs, all the way to the Pacific Ocean is amazing. Because the house is located on a hill, you get to see all of this from every room on the first floor. It is so incredibly breath taking day and night and you never tire of it. Combined with the sound of church bells and wind chimes we couldn't help but feel relaxed (especially when our kids were asleep!).
The house itself is super comfortable and has everything you need to feel right at home. You can tell that a lot of care and thought has gone into it with it's double glazed windows, beautiful wooden floors, time-operated extractor fan in the main bathroom, an electric toilet/bidet also in the main bathroom, and a well laid out gourmet kitchen (loved the island bench with second sink!). Also, most shops and restaurants are only a few minuted drive so you are reasonably central.
Brenda herself is such a warm and thoughtful person. She helped us to find a babysitter so that we could go out and enjoy a meal without the kids.
We highly recommend this house and miss it already!"

"This was our second stay at this wonderful SB cottage. Once again, everything was perfect - very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We loved the outdoor space -- one day we had a light rain, and it was delightful to sit on the covered porch and sip our morning coffee! The patio is very cute, and the perfect size for two to sit and enjoy coffee, a meal, or afternoon wine! The location is fantastic - walking distance to all of the gems of Santa Barbara. Yes, we have already booked our next visit!"
