"This was the perfect place for a quiet weekend with family and friends. The rooms are comfortable, the location is close to everything, and the view is stunning. Pat and Charlie are welcoming and professional and made the logistics easy for us. A note for those traveling with small kids: although this house is by no means child-proofed, it is well laid out for kids to play within view of parents (there are doors to close off parts of the house you don't want a toddler to wander into) and the pool area is completely fenced in. We were a bit worried about all the stairs and balconies, but the place really worked out well for our kiddos and kept us all relaxed. Highly recommended all around."

"What an amazing guesthouse! My girlfriend and I were in town for a wedding and this was the best place we could have stayed. Cheaper than the hotels and 100 times better. We made breakfast in the lovely kitchen and enjoyed it on the secluded patio. Barbara greater us along with her lovely labradoodle. We commented on all of the awesome succulents and she told us about Lotus Land. This was a great recommendation and if you have time check it out! We will definitely try to book here again if we come back to Santa Barbara."

We miss the view that makes you feel you're in Tuscany, the sound of church bells and windchimes
"Staying at Brenda's house was a treat. We felt so lucky to be allowed to stay there and honoured that she would trust us with her home, a very special place.
First of all, the view of Santa Barbara with it's white stucco buildings and terracotta roofs, all the way to the Pacific Ocean is amazing. Because the house is located on a hill, you get to see all of this from every room on the first floor. It is so incredibly breath taking day and night and you never tire of it. Combined with the sound of church bells and wind chimes we couldn't help but feel relaxed (especially when our kids were asleep!).
The house itself is super comfortable and has everything you need to feel right at home. You can tell that a lot of care and thought has gone into it with it's double glazed windows, beautiful wooden floors, time-operated extractor fan in the main bathroom, an electric toilet/bidet also in the main bathroom, and a well laid out gourmet kitchen (loved the island bench with second sink!). Also, most shops and restaurants are only a few minuted drive so you are reasonably central.
Brenda herself is such a warm and thoughtful person. She helped us to find a babysitter so that we could go out and enjoy a meal without the kids.
We highly recommend this house and miss it already!"

"My wife and I fell in love with the Spanish style cottage instantly upon arrival. The view from the living room is amazing, definitely the perfect spot to have breakfast. The location is excellent, everything we wanted to check out was very close to the house. The neighborhood is very nice. We took short walks everyday and really enjoyed the area. Communication with the owner was great. We will definitely recommend this to friends and family. Thank you for a perfect summer getaway!"
