Beautiful - inside and out
"The home accommodated six people (three generations) with ease. Part of the house had been recently renovated, but the whole house felt "new". Premium finishes, linens, etc. The floor plan was just right...we could be together or apart. The weather was unseasonably warm and the house doesn't have air-conditioning. Between the fans (in every room) and ocean breezes, we were very comfortable. The family space off the kitchen has folding doors that open to the outside with a view to the park across the street and ocean. It's the best room in the house. We started (coffee) and ended (wine) every day there. The owner was very accessible and timely when we needed him. I would return to the area just to stay in the house again."

"I would probably rate this place a 3.5 more than a solid 4. The pictures from this property made me fall in love with the place. Everything was just as pictured including free bike rentals, which we unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of. The decorations and colors were beautiful. The layout was perfect if you are staying with just your significant other or family that you don't need privacy from. I actually loved how there were stairs that led up to the bed. The extra bed in the closet was a cute idea. It's close to the Mesa Lane steps, which we enjoyed and even ate at the Boathouse at Hendry's Beach.
My complaints are that we found a dead rat on the property. It may have seen it's final days from the white cat that we saw sleeping in the driveway. There were also a lot of bugs since some windows did not seem to close all the way. Simple fixes. Also the zen-like garden was great and relaxing but all the outdoor furniture was dirty so there was really nowhere you'd want to sit and relax. It would have been nice to see the stars from the skylight over the bed. Maybe the cover could be retractable. Also, the front window does not have a curtains which made me feel a little uneasy. It does get chilly at night and in the morning, but the bathroom heater and portable heater were not working. If I am going to pay all that money, which includes a cleaning fee I expect the property to already be clean and in top shape when I arrive. All in all, a great little spot to stay. If they made some adjustments I would definitely come back."

"Beautiful room in a quiet neighborhood. We've stayed at a variety of places in Santa Barbara while visiting our son. This one is by far our favorite. It was perfect for our dog too. A beautiful park is right up the street. Beware! Lots of poison oak if you go onto the hills. We eat out a lot so lack of kitchen was fine. Denise and Sheridan are there when you need them but you have lots of privacy. We will put this listing on top of our list."

"We couldn't have walked away happier from this experience. Not only was the home beautiful, but the furnishing and amenities made it one of the most comfortable stays we've ever had from an online rental. And there are probably only a handful of other homes in the entire Santa Barbara area with that kind of view. The pictures of the sunset look too good to be true, but I assure you, that is really what its like.
Location is fantastic. Just minutes away from State street, the pier, and a couple of great hikes. But the highlight was driving just 5 minutes north to the off-leash dog park on the beach!
I could not recommend this place more. Great place to relax and question why you dont live in santa barbara all year"
