  • Amazing Views!

"My husband and children (ages 18 and 20) and I had a fantastic time here. Everything was wonderful! The house had everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast every morning, which we ate overlooking the ocean. The view was spectacular! Most days we walked to Stearns Wharf and State Street along the ocean (a little over 2 miles). It was an easy drive to the mountains for hiking. We also rented bikes and rode along the oceanfront. Patrick was very helpful and showed us around the house and recommended some restaurants (CA'Dario and The Boathouse) that we really enjoyed. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were updated and high quality. Late afternoons and evenings we spent out on the deck overlooking the ocean and in the hot tub. I'd love to come back and stay here and would definitely recommend it to friends."

  • Home Away from Home

"My husband and I have stayed in this house with our small dog so often I've lost count. It is very clean and well-appointed, beautifully landscaped, and a perfect location near Shoreline Park. Beds are very comfortable. In fact, when we bought a new mattress for our home, we checked the brand and bought the same one. The manager, Jill, is very easy to deal with and very responsive, although the only issues we've had have been minor and even those have been few. Although we live on the East Coast and are only there for a week or two at a time, our dog recognizes the house and gets excited when we arrive. He loves the yard, as do we. Every time we arrive it feels like coming home."

  • Great home away from home!

"We had an absolutely delightful visit, with the weather cooperating in the best way. The stand-alone house is in a very quiet neighborhood, no traffic noise. Walking to the beach took 20 minutes, but totally worth it. We were able to walk along the beach and around the cliffs because the tide was moderate. Enjoyed the breaking waves and pelicans and the varied and fascinating geological features of the cliff wall. By car, 5 minutes into town -- we always returned to the same parking garage on Anacapa. We ate twice at Le petit Valentien -- the steaks were SO EXCEPTIONAL that we had to return. We found some excellent wine tasting rooms in town, the best often hidden from the main streets. When we went to try the Jacuzzi, we found only 6 inches of water inside. Turns out the Jacuzzi had sprung a leak. Within 1 day Lynn had it replaced with a brand new one, which we used every day, sometimes quietly at night. When we had a question, Lynn was ALWAYS accessible by phone. She is an excellent owner (lives in the house next door and a special hug to her), always helpful, but never imposing. Her pleasant cat Pebbles frequently made a quiet appearance The house is very well appointed and clean, the king bed is super and the couch in the living room is comfortable. Everything in the house works. The TV is HDMI and we could connect from our laptop (using our HDMI cable). Lots of useful items in the kitchen and refrigerator (salsa, vinegar, oil, noodles, etc etc). It is nice when guests leave some items for the next visitors, we did, too. We did our shopping at Trader Joe's, our favorite store every time we come to California. Wish we had such an outlet in Switzerland. The back yard is nice -- here we encountered the ONLY real noise, a screechy scrub jay that loved the peanuts we fed him. He became quite tame after a couple of days. We never used the outside grill( there are 3) although everything was provided. We even decided to fry fish in the kitchen twice because the exhaust fan worked so well. Bottom line -- this is a really great place to rent, spacious and comfortable. We gave it a "10". Jörg and Claudia Zürich, Switzerland"
