  • Charming Cottage

"If you are looking to experience Santa Barbara as a local, stay here. This cottage is located in a nice neighborhood just minutes from downtown Santa Barbara and only a short bike ride to the quaint little town of Montecito. We are family of four (two children 9 and 6 years old) and have stayed here multiple times. We have pretty particular taste and have found that this house to always be meticulously maintained, organized, and thoughtfully stocked with a family in mind. Some of our favorite touches: - environmentally conscious (recycling, baskets for the market, natural soaps) - functional kitchen (gas stove and outdoor grill, roaster, pans, bowls, etc) - beach gear (umbrella's, chairs, toys, boogie boards) - all sizes of quality bikes and helmets - clean outdoor shower - gated property so our children can explore safely - swingset - washer and dryer with detergent - great windows for natural light & screen door for lots of fresh air - zen water fountain out the master window - helpful books (the hiking book has helped us explore stunning hikes all around the area...this time we discovered a seal sanctuary where we saw 15 baby seals on the beach with their mamas, we explored quiet towns with beaches where the "locals" hang out, and shared trails with horses that walk through the enchanting forest of Eucalyptus and Sycamore groves woven all around Montecito's polo club that end in a stunning lemon orchard overlooking the ocean. - restaurant board - Cliff has great taste in food and shares his favorite spots around town. His recommendations are always a hit! - lastly, but important, the price is fair and competitive. We love this house, the location, and the owners. We hope you do too. Warmly, Gina Schley (Denver)"

  • An artsy gem with european flair

"This was by far my favorite home away from home experience! The complex is peaceful, yet in the heart of downtown, close to everything - shops, shoreline, water sports, buses, nightlife, downtown site seeing and twice weekly farmer's markets. Great to be able to walk everywhere, just leave your car in your garage space if you bring it. This a whimsical, architecturally stunning property with a cobblestone courtyard, beautiful fountains, and tropical landscaping. There is a super comfy bed and a great couch with chaise for relaxing with your feet up. The house is stocked with everything you would need. The enormous outdoor patio is the highlight of the whole place. It is gorgeous and includes lovely views of the mountains with palm trees in the foreground. Ginny and Dick are awesome and I would be happy to be able to stay at their place again."

  • Enjoy a Peaceful Retreat

"This is our 4th time returning to this property--- We continue to appreciate the peace and tranquility of this wonderful location---Just minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, the beaches, yet a quiet oasis. The spacious grounds, wonderful trees and variety of plantings make you feel like you are in your own world. We never tire of  starting  the day when  the light begins to shine onto the hillside and mountains. Even though we enjoy a late afternoon drink at the Boathouse restaurant at Hendry s Beach nothing compares to the view from your own deck. We often head back to the house, after a trip to the Farmer s Market to grill supper and enjoy the spectacular sunset. During our time in Santa Barbara we take full advantage of having dinner outside at the house, or one of the many restaurants in town with wonderful patio and terrace seating. Thank you again Jeanne for allowing us to share your special place."

  • Amazing Holiday Retreat!

"I stayed at this property with a group of friends over New Year's in Santa Barbara, and we cannot stop talking about what a fantastic time we had. The house is in a beautiful, secluded part of the Santa Barbara hills, but getting down to the Mission, State Street and up to hiking trails was still easy. This house was perfect for our group: a great kitchen for big dinners, two barbecues outside, a pool and jacuzzi area perfect for lounging in the hillside scenery, and a wraparound porch for catching sunsets over the ocean. Aaron was easily reachable for any questions we had and we would love to come back any time!"
