  • Cozy Little Get Away

"We have had varying experiences in our stays at different rental homes so I am always cautious and trying to find clues to what the true experience might be like. This was a happy one from the start to the end. The home was very clean from the bed to the shower to the back yard. We really appreciate that there seemed to be so much thought about us or anyone else who stays there. They obviously paid attention to all the little things we enjoy in a stay... there were fresh bars of soap, clean towels, even beach towels for the clean jacquzzi/hot tub in the back yard or a blow dryer if I had forgotten mine. The decor was stylish, but homey. The back yard was private. Parking was fine on the weekend and if we needed it there was a reserved space out back. We didn't. We loved the fact that you could bike 8 blocks to State Street for breweries and yummy food. There is a small market a couple blocks away. This was a super fun stay. I'm sure we will be back."

  • Amazing Vacation Rental

"I had come to Santa Barbara for a family trip with another couple and kids. Location was important to me, and found this house very close to an amazing beach. Downtown was only 5 minutes and the Historic Mission even closer. Upon arrival there was wine, and a beautiful woodsy cabin for us. The kids immediately ran down to the back yard which is huge, and played on the swings, hammock and played tether ball. They loved their stay here! It was like having a private park!! The host was welcoming and accommodating, I had asked about a few kitchen items, and she was very accessible and wonderful. The kitchen had all kinds of spices, foil, napkins, and fully stocked with appliances and gadgets. There were all kinds of extra towels and linens (we had the kids sleep on cots, which were great!!) The huge TV in the living room (they connected a game box to it) kept them happy late at night so my husband and I could rest. The two bedrooms are separated by the living room so the other family we traveled with had their privacy as well (we put the kids in the middle in the living room on the cots). The deck was huge as well which was great for a family BBQ, stocked with propane. We enjoyed hanging out on the outside deck with a glass of wine while the kids were right below on the lawn playing, it was magical. I've never seen my kids so much in their element, we felt like the Swiss Family Robinson! Everyone in the family was happy, especially the kids, but us grown ups appreciated the beauty of all the shady oak trees, and the garden walks, there must be 30 variety of trees at this place. We missed the rose garden being in bloom, but, there is always next time! I would highly recommend this property, the pictures do not adequately describe what you get, and the price is less than what you'd expect for this category especially considering the amazing yard -- which we didn't really understand until we arrived, what a bonus. • Spacious living and convenient!

"It was a pleasure dealing with Maggie at the rental agency. Location was convenient, approx 20 minute walk to beach and a few minutes drive to grocery store. House had a large beautiful backyard, great for hanging out, but the BBQ grill needs replacing as parts of the grill are falling apart. The lower bunk queen bed in the guest bedroom is actually a futon, so not very comfortable--we ended move moving the mattress to the floor to sleep on."

  • Perfect vacation

"My family and I had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home. It was by far the most relaxing vacation we have had with our two young kids (ages 1 & 3). Patrick was a wonderful host and his home is breathtaking. We walked to beaches, grocery, coffee, and resturants. If you're contemplating spending a bit more for ocean views, go for it! Spent most of our time playing on the "infinity lawn" and loved star gazing at night in the hot tub. Can't wait to go back."
