Great to relaxxx listen to birds, frogs at night go for a walk to the gardens, amazing. I took my wife for a surprise birthday she is still not over it yet, after 1 month we still talk about this cottage.one more thing go shopping before you go up there you do not want to go back into town, no need. At night you will be amazed about the night sky check it out for yourself you will not believe it. Thanks again Kim"

  • Absolutely Adorable!

"The Arbor House is not only perfectly appointed with beach decor, but is well cared for and practical. You can't beat the proximity and for a small family, it's very comfortable. When I had a question, response time by the owner was almost immediate. My 12-year old son loved it so much, he said he wanted to buy it!"

  • Lovely home away from home with only a few minor quirks.

"First off, let me get this out of the way - this is an absolutely beautiful location. Literally a stones throw away from the ocean front right outside the balcony. The condo itself is very lovely, decorated and equipped to make you feel right at home. All you need to bring is your clothes and toiletries. However, there are a few small issues that prevent me from saying that this place was absolutely perfect. First, the big glass doors on the balcony are at just the perfect angle to have the sun just beaming directly in during the fall when I stayed there. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but there are no blinds or curtains to block the sun from coming in and its so intensely bright with the water reflecting off the ocean that it almost makes the living room unusable without sunglasses from about 2:00 to 6:00. We jury-rigged a ghetto curtain using a spare sheet and some pants hangers, but this presented other problems. We hung the hangers on the molding "lip" around the patio doors but the wind kept blowing the sheet down. Well simple solution right? Close the door. Okay, well we would have but there isn't an AC in this place and we were starting to get a little warm. Keeping the doors open to let the ocean breeze in was the only way to cool the place down a bit. So then we had to get even MORE Ghetto and tape the hangers to the door frame so they wouldn't get blown off. I admit, this probably isn't a problem for everybody, but I was renting the place for a few days and was planning on lounging for part of it. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and don't plan on hanging out here in the middle of the day then it probably won't matter to you. Another thought you might have is hey, why not just spend time in another part of the condo? Well that gets to my second issue. Although there are three TVs in this place, only the one in the living room actually has working cable. This sounds nitpicky, and it probably is, but depending on your situation that might be a big deal. Other than the lack of a curtain of some sort, non-existant AC, and two of the three TVs not working this place was absolutely wonderful and I would definitely stay again."

  • A little piece of nirvana in San Luis Obispo

"I stayed at the Flying Caballos Guest Ranch Cottage for three nights this past week/weekend. This was my second time in SLO and I am so thrilled I was able to stay at Flying Caballos. Wish I had found them the first time I was in SLO, it would have made a huge difference in my stay. The Cottage was everything and more! The views from the cottage and from the porch were nothing short of spectacular. We were able to see gorgeous sunsets and awe-inspiring sunsets- yes, I jumped out of bed- in my p.j.'s and ran outside to capture the rapture of the sunrise. The cottage was everything as described and more- quiet, picturesque, and relaxing. The bed and the fold out couch were very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were great as well. We did most of our own cooking so the kitchen was of max importance to us. It was wonderful to sit at the table by the window and partake in eating while watching the beauty of the outdoors. The ranch is within 10 minutes - at the most- from downtown SLO, minutes from a major supermarket and other amenities, and a few minutes from a natural food store as well. The location is central to all the things you might want to do while in SLO and its vicinity. The owner/manager have put together a comprehensive book of things to do and places to go. Do not miss the Farmers' Markets in the area, especially Thursday evening in downtown SLO. I cannot wait to go back to SLO and stay at the Cottage again."
