  • Exactly what we were looking for

"Our stay at Little Gem was exactly what we were looking for: a place in nature's splendor to retreat from the city. The cabin was small which we knew ahead of time, but it was a very pleasant space up on a hill amongst a variety of trees and shrubs. No TV was perfect for us. There are wonderful hiking opportunities in the area. Plus time for rest and relaxation. The magnificent views from the property and along the highway are breathtaking. We were truly rejuvenated after a few days on this property. The owners were helpful and willing to assist when needed. We really appreciate the owner’s willingness to share their space."

  • Warm, wonderful home!

"Our family of four stayed for the summer and had a fantastic time. The home is so beautiful and in a great location in Ventura. There is a park right across the street with paddle tennis courts and a playground. Every night after dinner we would walk across and our kids would play with other kids in the neighborhood. You can also walk down the street to a nice restaurant on the marina. We would strongly recommend this for a long stay and hope to come back soon."

  • Nice well equiped house - fantastic location

"Enjoyed a wonderful week at the Beach House. The location was fantastic. Steps to a beautiful broad beach, with very few other people around. Just 2 short blocks from the Channel Islands marina - a great place to walk and look at boats and people. The house itself was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice kitchen, combined dining and sitting area and two bedrooms. Outdoor completely fenced area with private sitting area and a great barbecue. Plenty of nice towels, including beach towels and great beach chairs. The area had some good restaurants within a mile. Really liked Moqueca (Brazilian seafood) and the Italian Job. We took a day trip to Santa Cruz Island, part of the Channel Islands National Park from Ventura Harbor - about 20 minutes away. Also attended the Rubicon Theater in Ventura and went to a great farmer's market on Sunday, a half mile away. It was a great week and we will definitely be back."

  • HOME ~ peace and relaxation. Natural beauties!

"What a pleasant surprise! The family room downstairs had sleeping arrangements galore. We actually missed a sleeping quarters (which is not counted in as a bedroom) with a bathroom and exit door for two days because it is so private (great for a Nanny.) The home is spacious with breathtaking views and natural light galore. The kitchen was comparable to my own kitchen. I looked in the cupboards while I was cooking.....flour, oil, every seasoning you could ever need....EVEN different coffee flavors!! AND, an assortment of music, books, games and soap for the washing machine. We were delighted every minute we were there and will return. The home was located near a main road for easy access to groceries, restaurants, the beach, Fisherman's Wharf, the Aquarium, and visitor sites. Thank you for making our stay so memorable...Home away from home!"
