  • sparklingly clean unit in perfect location

"Gorgeous unit in a terrific location, truly right on the beach. Very clean and pleasant. The decor is exactly as pictured: contemporary with whimsical accents. The kitchen equipment is great--lots of dishes, glasses, pots, even found a grater and a hand juicer. We had 5 people -- two teenagers, a mom, and two grandmas -- and so it was great to have a shower in both bathrooms. Being right on the beach is fabulous. Sleeping with the roar of the ocean from the windows. Walking on the shore every morning. Boogie boarding in the afternoons. Loved every minute."

  • Anniversary Getaway!

"My wife and I wed on Monastery Beach in 2004 with this property overlooking our ceremony. I promised her one day I'd get her this house, and on our 10 year wedding anniversary I gave it to her... if only for a week. But what a beautiful week. What a beautiful property, what a beautiful view. The perfect setting for... well just about anything. You can have a romantic getaway, you can have your children run around and play, you can have your extended family come stay (and watch the kids for that romantic time you're looking for), you can just sit on the beach chairs and drink a hot cup of coffee or a couple glass as of wine if you prefer. If it gets too cold you can go inside and not miss a thing. You can light a fire in the fireplace long after dark and still make s'mores. You have instant beach access and access to trails that lead all the way north to Carmel State Beach, no need to drive. Private, even with two other houses on property, and hardly any beach traffic on the north side of Monastery Beach. This main house is a Historic property, built in 1875, and has aged like a fine wine. You will feel the charm and joy of this property, and you will never want to leave. It's quite telling when your 3yo daughter wants to leave the park because "I wanna go back to da beach house!" to see mermaids and whales."

  • Perfect!

"Carolyn and Kipp's home is perfect! Lots of room for everyone, with beautiful views and very well stocked with everything you could need for beaching, cooking, playing, or just relaxing. It is beautifully decorated with a sea/beach theme. It met all our needs and more. It was great working with the owners. Great location and within walking distance of a nice beach, restaurants and tamales! I would highly recommend this vacation rental for large groups."
