"We just got married, and our family made the reservation as our honeymoon. First thing everyone needs to know; this is not a resort, nor a place to be entertained. Borrego is a special place where one can shed all the stress & worries of the regular grind. Dan offers an oasis where people can go unwind and relax in a beautiful place where the magic of the desert permeates your very soul. My new wife and I discovered how easily we become slaves to the daily game; losing sight of what really matters. Dan provided a wonderful, special place for us to enjoy each other's company. No noise, no cars, nothing but the birds chirping, and floating in the pool. I cannot explain how relaxed we became within a day of arriving! The house has every amenity one could desire; in fact, there's a closet full of every thing one might forget to bring, which just adds to making you relax...feel right at home. Some of the reviews I saw are unfair; if you want to "get away from it all" THIS is the place for you. You will not regret staying here, as Dan has covered everything you could possibly need. We will definitely come back, as often as we can!"

"Todd and Trisha are lovely, helpful hosts; their home is clean and comfortable and the views are amazing. However, the home is located directly on a golf course - a very well tended and well groomed golf course. We are not golfers and thus failed to realize what this proximity means. We learned quickly, however. We learned that it takes a lot of machine power to get those greens looking as pristine and well manicured as these are - a lot of very loud machine power that started variously at 6:00 and 6:30 a.m.! Thus our calm, restful retreat disappeared most mornings with the roar of a small tractor. We had to accept that sleeping in was just not going to be a feature of this vacation. Otherwise it was great."

Really nice casita, quiet and great for stargazing
"We are an elderly couple and stayed 3 nights in this lovely home. I was amazed at how well it was furnished, down to the smallest detail. Did you forget coffee? no problem, you have a choice here. Even peanut butter and jelly! Soap, Shampoo, Lotion? lots of it. You name it and it's likely you'll find it here. Very quiet location outside of town, with a wonderful view to the mountains in the west. It was so relaxing to watch the sun go down and the stars come out.
Downstairs is a great kitchen, granite counter tops and all the appliances in great working order. Very nice dishes and cutlery, pots and pans. Easy to feel at home here! Living area is compact and comfortable, master bedroom has walk in closet and lots of amenities, master bath is large. Only thing to be aware of is that the downstairs (master) tub/shower is not really suitable for someone with mobility limitations. Upstairs is another nice bedroom and another nice bathroom. It really is a home away from home, with all your needs thoughtfully anticipated and provided! I can't think of anything we could have asked for that wasn't already supplied.
Very nice accommodations, very clean, and we recommend it without hesitation. BTW, they do accept pets, although we did not bring our cats along.
We opened the door and at first glance said, "This is NICE!" Thank you for a great place to stay and relax away from traffic and noise."

"We held our annual Thanksgiving week get-together at this beautiful, spacious, light-filled home across the street from the DeAnza golf course. We had room for 5 couples and 3 kids plus a few extras came over for Thanksgiving dinner. The house is well-equiped and maintained. While we experienced problems heating the pool, the owners promise to repair and are great to work with. We rented bikes downtown and enjoyed excursions to see the desert sculptures."
