"My wife and I spent two weeks here at the end of the "off" season. Don't be worried by stories of damage in Borrego Springs and in this DeAnza neighborhood by floods this summer (2013). There is no damage to this house or yard, and all the streets and almost all businesses in Borrego Springs have been cleaned up. The house was perfect for us - lots of space (much more than two people need), lots of big windows to let in light, wonderful pool area, fun kitchen, excellent neighborhood for walks along residential streets and through the golf course. (The courses in Borrego close for a few weeks at the end of summer in order to get their winter stand of grass planted, so be sure to check dates if you are a golfer.) The online descriptions are accurate, the house was very clean, everything worked well. The A/C had no trouble keeping us cool. The photos are accurate, although the wide-angle lens makes the landscaped yard look bigger than it really is. But it is still quite spacious and a beautiful backdrop to the house and pool. Cindy was easy to work with in scheduling and then re-scheduling our vacation, and she gave us a good price for the off-season. The damage deposit came back promptly. We would gladly work with her and stay here again. Our travel hint - on previous trips to Borrego Springs we have not enjoyed the...shall we say "vigorous" winds of the spring wildflower season. September and October are the least windy months, and you have the town almost to yourself until the second or third weekend in October."Guest: Jim Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: October 28, 2013View listing
"Some said we were crazy for booking a desert vacation in August, but I needed to escape the Bay Area chill. This was absolutely perfect! We brought our 3 teenagers and 2 dogs and couldn't have been happier. The pictures don't do the house justice; it's far more charming in person and the views are fantastic. The pool was nice and deep, and refreshing day or night. We brought along a telescope and set it up on one of the many porch areas for fantastic star gazing. There was even wifi for the teens and board games that we made use of. The owner also has excellent taste in books. I'm hoping to go back in late winter/early spring when the desert is in bloom. Highly recommend!"Guest: Debra G. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 23, 2014View listing
"This condo was in excellent shape, well stocked and had breath-taking views. Wi-fi was great, even completed one of the many puzzles. Highly recommend. Thank you!"Guest: WEPINOR Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 28, 2014View listing
"My husband and I spent a wonderful month at this great house and property! The house is as advertised - a four bedroom house with a pretty living room and separate TV room with spectacular views. We sat out on the patio in the evenings and watched the moon rise over Font's Point and star-gazed until late at night. No where else have we seen the Milky Way so clearly! Truly astonishing! Our two 2 grown children with spouses and four grandchildren came to visit us from San Diego on the weekends and there was plenty of space for us all. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make our meals and there was plenty of plates and glassware. The La Casa del Zorro Resort is just a short walk from the house where we could purchase a family day-use pass for the swimming pools and tennis courts - great for the grand kids on a warm Saturday afternoon. The grown-ups enjoyed the Fox Den bar patio! The house is wonderfully quiet and private. We will definitely be back!"Guest: Anna Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: July 15, 2014View listing
