  • Sunset Terrace

"Sunset Terrace is a beautiful home and has absolutely everything that you could need to shut off and relax. We traveled with our 9 month old daughter and it was so easy to enjoy the space with her. While she was sleeping we enjoyed the hot tub, the gorgeous backyard area and the super relaxing living room. There were games, movies, books, Netflix and cable to enjoy. The sectional couch was so comfy. The entire place was even more beautiful than the pictures suggested. Everything was very clean and very organized. We will definitely be back and we would absolutely recommend the home to everyone. The local restaurants and shops were amazing, the views and the quiet were perfect. The park is right near by. The owners made everything so easy and available. We can't wait to return!"

  • Desert Bungalow-a retro delight

"This is my second year coming to this particular unit. I love this bungalow! The value for the money is amazing. It has an open floor plan and is quite spacious! It has loads of charm and it is in excellent condition, clean and well maintained. I would most definately recommen this place to a friend or relative. It's within walking distance to the hippest part of JT, where several restaurants are located. The owner is trustworthy, and timely in all of his communications. He is a pleasure to do buisness with. The photos are accurate, and the place is even more charming in person!"

  • Transcendent!

"Gazing at the night sky while burning the avocado wood left us speechless (a feat not easily achieved!). Pappy & Harriets, a local restaurant, was unpretentiously delicious -- thank you for the recommendation! Your courtesy is a trait we come across very often, Peter, we are so appreciative of your kindness and guidance. It was a magical time -- best ever!"

Joshua Tree Lodging Can Vary From the Beautiful to the Quaint

Just 120 miles from L.A. and 30 miles from Palm Springs, Joshua Tree is a short drive to an oasis of discovery. Joshua Tree vacation rentals, located in the town of Joshua Tree, are just minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park and include everything from the extremely modern to extremely rustic. California Desert vacation homes can be sublime.

There is Plenty to Do and See in the Desert

Joshua Tree National Park welcomes over a million visitors every year. There is rock climbing, hiking, biking, camping, bird watching, stargazing and exploring. Close by are hot springs, horseback riding, gambling, outlet stores, tram rides, and more. Hiking in the desert you may find old mining camps, historic homes built into the rocks, hidden oasis where Indians once settled. There is nothing like lying under the desert stars and being able to see the Milky Way.

Joshua Tree has a Rich History

In the 1800's, Mormon pioneers came across the Colorado River. It is said these pioneers named the tree after the prophet Joshua, seeing the Joshua tree limbs outstretched in supplication, guiding the travelers westward. Earlier, American Indians had left behind rock painting and pottery. Then came explorers, cattlemen and miners in search of gold. They too, left behind their remnants. In the 1930's homesteaders came seeking free land and a chance to start over.
