Joshua Tree getaway spot
"Good place to go and decompress away from the city. Very close to the West entrance to the park and the central area of the town. The house itself is nicely equipped, with everything you need for a good stay in the area. Only 2 minor gripes:
1. this is a pretty pricey rental - would it be possible to clean up the construction junk sitting behind the house and by the front parking spot?
2. the weirdest design for the wi-fi - the router is actually outside and controlled by an unmarked wall switch. not sure why you'd want something like that...
Other than that, we had a very good time. This was our first visit to the area and we will be back climbing those rocks!"

"We loved staying at Shangri-la. The desert views are incredible. Photo shoot heaven. We had fun playing ping-pong, swinging, and cooling off in the cattle tank cold plunge. Outdoor shower was a treat too. Great place. The living room is a bit hard to cool somehow, the bedroom gets all the cool air. The convertible sofa is not very comfortable for sleeping, but a good sofa for sitting--and of course very mid-century stylish. Otherwise all good, lovely place. Drew is great with the communication and local suggestions!"

"The place is a dream for everybody not wanting five star luxury but a unique getaway in a great location. The authentic vintage interior as well as the great collection of old cars, trailers and neon lights outside (among other collectibles) makes you feel very special when spending time there. The views and landscape are stunning. And sitting in the back of the house barbecueing can only be topped by dipping into the old metal tub with a good bottle of beer...
From a more practical perspective, the house is just minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. And should anybody like to horse ride - the friendly neighbors did show up by horse one evening and offered tours by horse. If we did this again, we would definitely spend more time there (we just had two days left this time).
Oh, and the kids loved sleeping in the vintage trailer. And all the critters that keep coming to the house in search of food."

"We loved our stay at Sweet P Ranch! The house was so cozy and comfortable and the vintage decor was charming. The outdoor space was lovely with a great view and soft inviting outdoor lighting at night. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and creativity into this home! The neighborhood was quiet and just far enough outside the city proper to get some peace and quiet without being too far away from town, the Park, etc. We spent our days hiking and climbing rocks in Joshua Tree and this was a welcome retreat to come back to you in the evening. Everything exceeded our expectations!"
