  • Perfect and Relaxing

"This property was perfect for my trip to Joshua Tree. Located very close to the park entrance, but far enough to give plenty of privacy. Spending the evenings in the hot tub or in front of the fire pit, star gazing was the most relaxing way to finish off a nice day of hiking. The sound system, and propane grill were also big thumbs up for me. Will most certainly be booking another trip at this property."

  • A Gem in Joshua Tree

"Aaron's amazing home took our breath away. Everything he designed and built into this property is perfect in form and function. We very much appreciated his authenticity and creative development of the spaces at Jackrabbit Wash. This house is respectful to the environment. It is a glorious gem in itself, yet it unobtrusively highlights everything from the lay of the desert land to the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park, from the sunrises and sunsets to the moon and stars at night. It was hard to decide what we liked most.....curling up in front of the fireplace or lounging on the chaises outside under the stars. Simply walking in the door inspires one to take a deep breath and relax. Warm, exciting to the eye, full of interest, yet free of clutter that detracts from good design. We felt at home immediately. The well-appointed kitchen was beckoning us, so we chose to stay in and cook rather than eat out. Jackrabbit Wash was also a perfect base camp for us to explore the 4WD trails in JT National Park. Aaron was a fabulous host, always available if needed, yet respectful of our privacy leaving us to enjoy our time at Jackrabbit Wash. We hope to come back again sometime soon, especially when the weather is warm enough for an evening swim in the pool. Jackrabbit Wash will always be our first choice when booking some R&R in Joshua Tree."

  • Desert Bungalow-a retro delight

"This is my second year coming to this particular unit. I love this bungalow! The value for the money is amazing. It has an open floor plan and is quite spacious! It has loads of charm and it is in excellent condition, clean and well maintained. I would most definately recommen this place to a friend or relative. It's within walking distance to the hippest part of JT, where several restaurants are located. The owner is trustworthy, and timely in all of his communications. He is a pleasure to do buisness with. The photos are accurate, and the place is even more charming in person!"

  • Private and Peaceful!

"Rock Haven Cabin exceeded all of our expectations and more! We've been on a search for the perfect desert retreat and finally found it here. Eva and Kathy are truly amazing women too! Thoughtful, kind and highly accommodating. We like to do a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Most importantly we found the cabin to be extremely clean. At most rental properties we've experienced, we could smell the synthetic fabric softeners in the linens and towels or the smell of synthetic mens cologne or women's perfume on bedding. All bedding and towels were Four Seasons Hotel quality here!! "I'm a former Four Seasons Hotel employee." Gazing out at the vast beauty of the desert and wildlife can never be tiresome. We absolutely loved the frequent daily visits from the quail, bunnies and coyote sightings. Rock Haven Cabin is a rare gem. We could and would love to live right here for the rest of our lives! Beautiful hiking right from the property, away from the park crowds. Eco friendly cabin run off of solar power. Fantastic hot tub with no chlorine or chemicals added. Only epson and dead sea mineral salts added that make for a great muscle soak after a hike. We LOVE you both Eva and Kathy!!! Thanks again for creating a beautiful, peaceful, and healing retreat to share with others."
