  • Great Get Away

"We just returned from a wonderful extended weekend at Liz's home. The home is immaculate and includes many amenities not found in most rentals. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics and the bathrooms even had additional lotions a shampoos in case we forgot ours. Our teenage girls raved about how comfortable the beds were as did my husband. We really enjoyed and took advantage of the two private patios each day to get outside for breakfast and lunch. I worked one of the days while I was there and having the internet and accessibility to work outside was a much needed change. We found that the house is also close to Lake Cahuilla if you are looking for fishing or toddler friendly pool and playground. Liz was extremely responsive and takes great pride In her home and makes sure that her guests are well taken care of. We would definitely come back to stay at Puerta Azul in the future."

  • Great home and setting for a large group

"We had a terrific stay here. With a group of seven, there was plenty of space for hanging out, sleeping and quiet. The outdoor area is very conducive to relaxing, and the hot tub was a nice asset. There were plenty of towels, dishes, appliances, etc. so we didn't have to be inconvenienced. The fresh fruit on trees was fantastic. Unlike a lot of homes we have rented in resort communities, we were not hit with a pool heating, cleaning or resort fee, and the community did not have a typical long list of "don't do" things and rules. The location was conducive to our interests because we wanted a quieter vacation, but it was easy to get to the other valley communities. La Quinta offered a lot, and we were able to find plenty of hiking opportunities nearby. For those interested, the Boo Hoff trail near downtown La Quinta, and Box Canyon near Mecca were fun and provided a decent challenge."
