  • Fort Saskatchewan Family

"This was our 4th year renting and we really enjoy the unit. It is very well equipped and everything is in good working order. We appreciate the high speed internet and free North American long distance. The owners are most accommodating and we look forward to many more seasonal rentals. Thanks!"

  • Fabulous condo with excellent amenities

"My family rented this condo for a week and it was perfect. I often rent vacation homes through VRBO and this was, by far, the most well equipped home I have ever rented. I love to cook and the kitchen was extremely well stocked and had great cookware. Everything in the home was in perfect working condition. The location was great, as well. I won't hesitate to rent this condo again on my next trip to the desert."

Private Homes, Indian Ridge Travel Tips

Indian Ridge Homes to Avoid the Snow

The number one retreat for those who love warm weather can be found in Palm Desert, California. Indian Ridge homes provide the perfect locale for families or older couples to escape the harsh winters of the north. Golfing, museums, and shopping are a few attractions awaiting you at Indian Ridge accommodations. The peak season at Palm Desert vacation rentals is between October and March, when the weather is warm and comfortable.

Old MacDonald Ranch near Indian Ridge Accommodations

Palm Desert was first known as Old MacDonald Ranch then in the 1920s, the name was changed to Palm Village. Around this time, the Cahuilla Indians inhabited the area. Today, when you rent Indian Ridge accommodations, you will not find many Cahuilla Native Americans. Much of the tribe is now extinct, though a few members still exist with diluted blood lines. As you walk around Palm Desert vacation rentals, you can imagine what the area looked like back in the 1920s with few inhabitants and largely undeveloped land.

Palm Desert Vacation Rentals and the Arnold Palmer Grove

The main attraction at Palm Desert vacation rentals are the golf clubs. Almost all Indian Ridge homes are located near a golf club, and one club actually has an Arnold Palmer Grove, named after the famous golfer. With a variety of visitors to the area each year, the golf clubs welcome all tourists rather than requiring you to have a golf membership.

Coachella Valley Amusements by Indian Ridge Homes

The growth around Indian Ridge homes has provided tourists with plenty of shopping options. Coachella Valley and the Palm Desert Town Center are two places you may want to visit for souvenirs. The area is filled with boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants. Your Indian Ridge accommodations will offer cooking facilities, but it is always nice once in a while to get out and try something different. Palm Desert has a number of restaurants with Spanish cuisine and California favorites.
