"There were many things I liked but a few things that impressed me in particular were:
1) The coordination in furniture color/style
2) The clean and spacious bedrooms
3) The amount of kitchenware
4) The house layout
5) The pool and the grill
We stayed mostly at home in the pool, but we also went ATVing in the desert and drinking/dinner in downtown Palm Springs. And Moussa was especially helpful!"

"My wife and I vacationed at this property from November/December 2010 to March/April 2014. Through these years, we returned home from mid December to the end of February always returning on the noted months. We never did an initial comment on VRBO as the guest book was more personal. This was our home away from home. The location is fabulous within walking distance to downtown Palm Springs and a convenient walk to the local supermarket. Movie theatres are close as well as the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center. The unit is directly adjacent to the pool. The fitness centre is totally adequate for a good workout. The communal barbecue is in a good location to meet property owners and other visitors in the complex. The unit itself is just like a home with many areas to relax from the interior of the unit to the rooftop and lower level patio. A bonus is the two car garage and gated community. Very close to the major golf courses of Indian Canyons and, Escena. We enjoyed this residence immensely during our many stays. The only reason that we have yet to return is that the owners, due to retirement, wanted to experience the same months that we had and therefore we made a commitment to another location. We are happy to see this unit again available for the prime months. You will enjoy the location and premises as much as we did."

"My partner and I stayed here over a long weekend and were very happy. It’s such a quiet neighborhood but close to all of the good stuff. The view from the hot tub is amazing. The back yard is private and well maintained. Sam and Ken and are quick to respond to questions and have pretty much covered everything you could ask for. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back soon!"

The Right Condo in the Right Complex in the Right Location
"My wife and I started coming to Palm Springs for the winter eight years ago. From January to April (inclusively) each year we trade the snow of Nova Scotia for the sunshine of Palm Springs. It took us three years to find the right condo in the right complex in the right location -- Unit 211, Caballeros Estates. We rented the unit in 2012, 2014, and 2015, and have it reserved again for 2016.
The owners' on-line description of the condo is accurate and complete so you get exactly what you are told to expect. Last year the owners installed new ceramic tiles throughout the condo, did a complete new paint job, and installed new bedroom furniture, giving the unit a fresh, clean look and feel. For us, a major convenience is the very spacious deck where we frequently take our meals and where we do all our entertaining. From January to April the deck is in partial shade and partial sun so you have a choice as to whether you want to sit in the sun or in the shade. My wife enjoys sun-bathing more than I do so she tends to spend more time on the sunny side than I do -- in more ways than one.
In a previous review, a former tenant wrote that he found the location noisy. That has not been our experience. There are no noisy neighbors. The nights are very still. During the days the only "noise" is the gardener going about his business or the PSDS emptying the dumpster which is never done before 9:00 am, by which time we are up, out and about. And there were no "recyclers" visiting the dumpsters at any time.
The social life at the Caballeros Estates is a really big plus for us. The snow birders and full timers freely intermix making for an active and enjoyable stay. Once a week there is a gathering at several local restaurants for a happy hour. On special occasions there are clubhouse and poolside socials presenting great food and lively company.
The location of the condo allows my wife and me to stay in the middle of Palm Springs and do everything we want without a car. The neighbourhood is very conducive for walkers. Moreover, within easy walking distance there are a good supermarket, two movie houses, two theatres, the public library, two museums, and all the eating establishments one could want.
And lastly, but just as importantly, the owners are very welcoming and very accommodating."
