  • LAZY DAYS AND FOOD-FILLED NIGHTS

"Six of us arrived to celebrate a birthday in total seclusion, and boy did we pick the right place. Quietly located on a cul-de-sac in Vista Las Palmas, we had everything we needed (and if we hadn't, it was clear Ken or Quentin would get it to us immediately) to celebrate the birthday in style. If I didn't know better, I'd swear Ken and Quentin made sure the weather was perfect, too… but it is certain they made their backyard perfect for good weather - the pool was big and the water warm, allowing us to float for hours while reading or napping. And lounge chairs aplenty for sunning and napping. Don't get me started on the spa - room for 12, I'd say. For the 6 of us, it was just perfect. And a fire pit built into the ground right next to it, with a comfy lounge set in an L around… perfect for the evenings while we cooked on the outdoor grill, and after dinner, for drinks and conversation. And the view… mountains hanging over us outside, and the morning sun would light them up gloriously - a fantastic way to start the day. The house is stocked with all you'd need, and once we'd provisioned ourselves, we rarely left (maybe to restock, and once for Thanksgiving dinner out at friends). Plenty of cookware, dishes, glassware… you name it, they had it. It's a house stocked to entertain - we had friends over for dinner a couple of nights and it was a breeze cooking in the kitchen. The townie bikes are such a great idea, and in excellent condition. Kudos to Ken and Quentin for providing helmets as well… thoughtful and smart. We all took rides almost every day, winding through the neighborhood looking at the beautiful mid-century architecture everywhere you turn, and venturing into town (it's that close!) to check out the specialty shops. Our last evening we gave ourselves a reprieve and brought in a chef (at Ken's recommendation) for the final meal, and it was culinary perfection. Joseph was professional, charming, thorough, and, above all, an excellent chef. I only wish I had his card in front of me so I could give his full name… but if you're ever at the house and want to treat yourselves even more, Ken can provide his info, I'm sure. Leaving was easy only because the final day was overcast… again, as if Ken and Quentin made it that way so our exit wasn't depressing. Thanks to both Ken and Quentin for creating a lovely oasis in the desert where you can kick back, relax, and never leave the property without feeling like you're missing something."

  • Great place to stay, for early risers.

"My friends and I rented this house for this past 4th of July weekend. We all had a great time! The house was very clean and as pictured on the website. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to prepare some great meals. Oddly the knobs on the BBQ are not labeled so it was hard to find the right temp, but that's a small detail. The grill has been converted from propane to natural gas, which I prefer. The beds were all confortable. Everyone I talked to at the management company was very polite & responsive. The rest of our group would have given this house a enthusiastic 5 stars, but unfortunately for my boyfriend and I we were staying in the master bedroom. The bed was great, but the bedroom faces east and the windows above the sliding door did not have any shades on them. Shortly after sunrise the sun came beaming into the room and to make it worse the sun reflected off the glass on the giant picture on the opposite wall and shined the light directly down on the bed. Fortunately this should be an easy fix, and I hope they do it soon. We'd love to come back! Also worth noting, every other room and black out shades and the A/C worked great!"

  • We will be back!!

"We stayed here 5 nights and cannot wait to return! The house is an excellent example of mid-century modern architecture and has been very tastefully renovated. It is in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods and anyone who is into mid-century modern architecture will enjoy walking around to look at some of the most iconic homes in Palm Springs. The outdoor area and the view of the house (where we spent 75% of our time) was beautiful. Laying in the pool or the spa and looking at the mountains was remarkable. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked several meals and had no problems at all. The home owner communicated very well. Bob, the home concierge was very helpful when we checked in and although we we had zero problems entire stay, we felt like we would have had the support if there were. All in all, a very professionally run operation. I can't recommend this property enough!"

  • Dream home

"I rented this house for my 40th birthday party and it was so much more than I could have possibly dreamed of. The house was well stocked we were never in need of anything and if we did the property manager was amazing and easily accessible. My friends and I had the best time- by far the best birthday ever. Everyone left relaxed and happy. I personally didn't want to leave. Like ever. I can't wait for a reason to go back- I'd do it in a heartbeat. Who's turning 40 next? The house will forever be in my dreams."
