"This house was wonderful. It felt like home the minute we walked in the door. We have rented a number of homes through VRBO and this is our favorite. It is an upscale tastefully decorated home in a very well maintained neighborhood with a lot of greenery and pleasant scenery. There is a very open feeling to every room in this spacious house. The front deck is one of the highlights. It is so pleasant to sit out there and enjoy any time of the day. The house is on a slightly elevated lot which adds to its ambience."

"We stayed in Barbara's home for 3 nights with our 8 and 10 year old children who are learning about the Gold Rush. A bonus was that we were also able to bring our 9 month old labrador retriever.
Barbara's home is newer, beautifully decorated, clean, fully furnished and equipped for all of our needs. We truly felt like we were at home. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were fully stocked and outfitted for our comfort and we were extremely pleased with this house. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and we enjoyed walking our dog in this area. There's even a park for both kids and pets.
Barbara really put thought into what makes a home comfortable that I even took some decorating tips home for our own house in the Bay Area!
We saw all the sights Barbara recommended--Columbia, Murphys, Moaning Caverns, New Melones, Jamestown, Big Trees, Arnold and Angels Camp. We learned a lot about the 1800s and the Gold Rush and had a lot of adventures zip-lining, hiking, panning for gold, eating, exploring caverns and shopping. We all had a wonderful time and my kids didn't want to leave the house.
We will definitely return!"

"We had our daughters wedding 💒 and this place completely fulfilled our expectations and than some. My family came from Colorado, And other areas in California, and just loved this house. It was like being at home and definitely a family orientated. The children loved playing in the play area, and the evenings around the fire were priceless. Diane and her family were wonderful, and made sure we had what we needed. we would return again."

"We loved this place: nice location to explore Gold (and wine) Country, beautiful outdoor areas: pool, deck, gazebo, gorgeous view of hills and river, hiking along the river available from the house. It's in a quiet neighborhood.
The house was clean, private and secluded with a nice layout for 3 couples. We never used the other nice bedroom with the TV and balcony. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had all the items we needed -- and then some.
There were a few minor things that we couldn't find or get to work, as in any rental -- but, that was our fault, since we didn't call for help ... because it was either so minor that we didn't care or we found a solution. Honestly, we were pretty lazy with the pool and surroundings to even bother making a call for unimportant stuff.
The property manager was very helpful; we always got a quick reply to questions.
It is worth noting that:
-Credit cards are only accepted through PayPal, which adds a hefty fee.
-The property is actually in Valley Springs; Angels Camp is about 30 minutes away. Valley Springs was great for us, since it was closer to Plymouth/Shenandoah Valley wine country, Amador City, and Sutter Creek.
We'll be back! It was a great, warm 3 day get-away from the fog of San Francisco."
