  • In love with this place!!!!!!!!!!

"My husband and I just stayed here for the past week over Christmas. Boy did this place meet, EXCEED our expectations :) The pics are very pretty but do not do justice on how amazing this little cabin is. You are nestled right into the side of a mountain and the views are absolutely amazing. The sound of water and the smells of the crisp snow and wood are just breathtaking! I really fell in love with this place the second I walked in. The cabin itself was very stocked with really everything you need. I brought a few of my own items such as a crock pot and zip lock bags as suggested in previous posts, but there was everything else you would need to cook with. Also bedding towels........ There was a previous post regarding the freezer door. Yes, it's open when you open the fridge but closes once the door of the fridge is closed. We had items in the freezer and they stayed frozen with no problem at all. It worked perfect for what we needed it for :) The cabin also has a very nice mud room right as you walk in. This was great for keeping wet boots and all our snow gear in while keeping the cabin nice and clean. My husband and I went out there with some ideas of some things we might like to go do but found that this cabin was just so cozy we really enjoyed just staying in and relaxing! There is a great selection of music! The cabin has wonderful heated floors so it really does stay nice and warm. Of course we used the wood burning stove because it was just part of having the warm, romantic, cozy cabin feeling. We did walk to the Double Eagle for dinner one night and took advantage of their amazing spa! Both great experiences. There are one or two steep roads to get to the cabin up and down. I have bad knees and still had no problem at all walking up and down. You are close to the ski loge, Silver Lake and June. We took a walk around both! So beautiful. Ian is such a wonderful, friendly person! He is just a phone call away if there is anything you need! He was so nice and met us at the lodge to show us where the cabin was. I highly recommend doing this. It can be a little tricky finding the cabin on your first trip up :) The cabin is near the top and on almost on a private road so there wasn't much traffic going through. It's a really a safe area! We really enjoyed meeting him so very friendly! We also appreciate the bottle of wine left for us at arrival. I am already looking for the dates of when I can return! Thanks Ian again for everything"

  • Magnificent Family Vacation

"Our family had a fabulous stay at this beautiful, warm home. We had a wonderful kitchen in which to cook along with a great barbecue on a huge balcony overlooking the lake. All the rooms were beautifully decorated with the softest, plushest sheets I have ever slept in. The kids loved the game room with all the great games. We went out on the kayak which was so peaceful. We rented a ski boat and pontoon and loved the private dock where we could dock the boat to change passengers. We were sad to leave, but look forward to coming back next year. We thank the owners so much for sharing their beautiful home with us."

  • Conveniently located

"This house is a great jumping off point for all things you might want to do in Yosemite. About 20 - 30 minutes from the Valley, Glacier Point and Mariposa Groves. The house is very clean and well stocked. The owners greeted us upon arrival and made us feel at home. They gave us great suggestions for the week. The neighborhood is very quiet and much cooler during the summer months than in the Valley - at least 10 degrees difference. We had 2 boys (9 and 13) and had a great week of hiking, climbing and white water rafting. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay in the park but away from the congestion in the Valley."
