  • Great Place - Super Owner!

"At the last minute we decided to go for a winter ski trip to Mammoth. I have to say that we were so very lucky to secure this property. The condo is beautifully decorated and has great amenities. And the view overlooking the meadow is second to none! The grandkids loved going out onto the frozen ponds (I knew it was safe since I went out first, and besides, from my summer trips up there I know they're only about 2 feet deep). My whole family loved being there and Penny, the owner was more than helpful in so many ways! The location is really convenient and even if you don't have a car, the shuttle stop is one half a block away. I could go on and on but I'll just say I can't recommend enough!"

  • Pure Magic.

"Picture a place like this: An oasis with green grass, trees for shade, and rustic wooden tables and benches. Butterflies fluttering around fragrant lavender bushes that perfume the breeze. Whimsical wind chimes and dozens of hummingbirds flitting about. Resident dogs Loki and Mini playing in the grass and chasing lizards. A pleasant creek filled with little fish for the dogs to pounce on. Nightly bonfires with a cold beer and warm conversation. A luxurious hot tub and pool to relax in after a long day. Cozy cottage with a comfy bed and beautiful view, interesting books to capture the imagination, and all the necessary comforts of home. No expense spared on gorgeous fixtures and architectural design. All of the above describes the enchanted grounds and ambiance of Spinning Wheel, where the Crescent Cottage is nestled away from the activity of Yosemite. If it sounds like a fairytale come to life, that's because that's precisely what this place is. My husband and I stayed here for three days in the midst of a California road trip. Boy, we wish we had planned to stay longer. Spinning Wheel was a huge part of what made our time in Yosemite our favorite part of the trip. After hiking all day and exploring the beauty of the park, we relished coming home to our little cottage and the beautiful Spinning Wheel grounds. I've never seen anything like it, and I can't emphasize enough the pure MAGIC and specialness of this place. Owner Dharma and property manager Patrick were extremely friendly and inviting. They make you feel like family friends there for a visit. Extremely laid back and pleasant people. It's not a question of if but WHEN we will return to Spinning Wheel, and we are dying to bring friends because simply telling people about this place doesn't do it justice. Do yourself a favor and book yourself an extra day or two at Spinning Wheel. I have no doubt that this place will become as special to you as it is to me, and probably every guest who stays there. We can't wait to return."

  • Great location for photographing fall color and comfortable lodging

"We three photographers, unrelated, stayed here for 2 nights and found the condo very comfortable. We each had our own bedroom and bath. The owners were excellent to work with, answered my e-mails and calls quickly and my questions thoroughly. They sounded like really nice people over the phone. Checkout is easy and instructions are clear. The location was great for us to travel 1/2 hour up 395 to Mono Lake or south to Bishop and the canyons for the fall color. We only wish we had had more time. We were in the condo only to sleep and used the kitchen only to make coffee in the early morning as we left each day before dawn. The kitchen, if you needed to cook meals, seemed well-equipped. One of my friends noted that it even had a crock pot. We found some good restaurants in Mammoth Lakes. Yes, I would rent the condo again."

  • All you (and your dog) can ask for!

"Since our friend's Snowcreek V condo was booked, we decided to give this dog friendly condo a try - and I'm so happy we did. This condo is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It's tucked away from the street, which makes it a bit more private and quiet than most other condos at Snowcreek V. The bed was super comfortable, the main room was perfectly furnished and the large, comfy sectional was a big plus! I can only come up with 2 cons: - Shower heads were awful. You won't be taking any nice, long showers during your stay. - No parking in front of the house, which made loading/unloading of the car a bit of a headache. Not a big deal if you're a light traveler though. We highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again!"
