"We rented this condo couple weeks ago right before the Christmas. Our group of eight had a wonderful time staying here and I strongly recommend this place. The unit was clean, well equipped/decorated and spacious. It has a very nice view of the meadow from the living room. This condo is just a few steps away from Chair #5 and #6. We didn't use our cars until the departure. Kids tired from skiing all day can just walk in for rest while others can continue to ski until the lifts close. Being able to come in for lunch was super convenient and a money saver as well. There are plenty of comfy beds and also a bunch of board/card games and dozens of DVD movies for entertainment. On one snowy overnight, we heard snow plowing trucks and avalanche control noise due to close proximity to the main road and the mountain. They are not too loud, but if you are a light sleeper like me, you might want to bring a pair of earplugs for best sleep quality (I always do while traveling) . Overall we love this place and hope to return for another great ski vacation!"

"We have been very pleased in dealing with the owner/manager of VRBO 19858 in Bear Valley, CA. We had a prompt reply when I first inquired about availability before booking. The owner/manager has been friendly, courteous and very helpful which made it easy to book the condo. We chose this condo for a wintertime resort for a family vacation because it is located close to the village for the roads to be kept plowed with plenty of parking in a private lot available to accomodate two vehicles. The condo is tri level with three bedrooms and two baths which provided ample space and privacy for ourselves, daughter and grandchildren. We love the Bear Valley ski resort and there is easy access either by shuttle or our own vehicle to go between the condo and the ski area. We enjoy the attributes of having both alpine and nordic skiing available in close proximity to the condo. Since this condo is owner managed the rates are somewhat lower than the condos that are managed by a property management company. We would definitely book here again and highly recommend it to others."

"We loved staying the weekend here! Thank you for the bottle of wine that was awaiting us on our arrival. First thing we see outside the living room window were 10 deer grazing in the front yard. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We were lucky enough to have a very warm Saturday so we drove down to the river and hiked to a spot all our own. it was gorgeous. We had lunch at Pierpoint Springs restaurant. They have delicious hamburgers. We try and come up to Camp Nelson every year since discovering it about 7 years ago. Every time we come up we find the break we've been looking for. No wi-fi or cell reception (except at the restaurant). We usually play cards and look at the stars for entertainment and barbecue for dinner. We usually come up in the summer, it was nice to see what it's like at this time of year. Sunday was a colder day and it had rained Saturday night. We went to see the 5th largest Sequoia, Stagg tree, which is 3000 years old. Your cabin is one of our favorites now, for the location, right in Camp Nelson, and for the very good ambiance. We really hope to be back soon, thank you so much!"
