"This was our second stay at Tyler's cabin and we had a blast again! We have 2 large dogs and one of our pups was rescued at 12 months and had a really tough puppy-hood that resulted in an extreme fear of all humans (except us) and an unhealthy anxiety over all things new. We work with many professionals to help him be more comfortable with life in general, but Tyler's cabin is our ideal getaway where we have almost ZERO chance of seeing any other humans!!! Our boy really opens up here and loves running around the property, chasing squirrels, chasing his sister, hiking through the woods and then crashing on the comfy dog beds. Our other pup is 5 years old and acts like a puppy out here! If you have a dog who finds city-life stressful, this is an ideal spot for some peace and quiet!!! The owners have really thought of everything - multiple dog beds, baby gates (we block off the kitchen when cooking), chuck-its and balls, dog toys and even a dog DVD! For the humans, it's even better! Comfy beds, tons of DVDs, any appliance you might need (including a verisimo machine!), wifi for checking email/facebook, maps of all the trails in the area, a GPS for hiking and plenty of books to read (in case you didn't bring any). This was our first winter stay and the wood stove kept the whole house warm and cozy. Our last trip was spent pretty close to the house with a few off-trail hikes behind the house for good views, but this time we did a couple longer hikes to a jeep road where we saw several bear and mountain lion prints in the snow! If you like being secluded in nature away from all the stresses of life, this is the place for you!"
