"Picture a place like this:
An oasis with green grass, trees for shade, and rustic wooden tables and benches. Butterflies fluttering around fragrant lavender bushes that perfume the breeze. Whimsical wind chimes and dozens of hummingbirds flitting about. Resident dogs Loki and Mini playing in the grass and chasing lizards. A pleasant creek filled with little fish for the dogs to pounce on. Nightly bonfires with a cold beer and warm conversation. A luxurious hot tub and pool to relax in after a long day. Cozy cottage with a comfy bed and beautiful view, interesting books to capture the imagination, and all the necessary comforts of home. No expense spared on gorgeous fixtures and architectural design.
All of the above describes the enchanted grounds and ambiance of Spinning Wheel, where the Crescent Cottage is nestled away from the activity of Yosemite. If it sounds like a fairytale come to life, that's because that's precisely what this place is.
My husband and I stayed here for three days in the midst of a California road trip. Boy, we wish we had planned to stay longer. Spinning Wheel was a huge part of what made our time in Yosemite our favorite part of the trip. After hiking all day and exploring the beauty of the park, we relished coming home to our little cottage and the beautiful Spinning Wheel grounds. I've never seen anything like it, and I can't emphasize enough the pure MAGIC and specialness of this place.
Owner Dharma and property manager Patrick were extremely friendly and inviting. They make you feel like family friends there for a visit. Extremely laid back and pleasant people.
It's not a question of if but WHEN we will return to Spinning Wheel, and we are dying to bring friends because simply telling people about this place doesn't do it justice. Do yourself a favor and book yourself an extra day or two at Spinning Wheel. I have no doubt that this place will become as special to you as it is to me, and probably every guest who stays there.
We can't wait to return."

"I loved how this property was out in the country and from the house the only other house you can see is the caretakers' house. The caretakers were super helpful but also respected our privacy. It's a beautiful area with almost no traffic so we loved walking along the gravel roads of the neighborhood. The hot tub is great and the pool was refreshing and fun for the kids. The back deck under the big oak tree was my favorite spot. The fenced backyard was great for the dog and the area was perfect for walking him. The house has many nice features but the one problem I had was the windows. It was really hot during my stay and many of the windows upstairs did not open or would open only partially so it was hot in the bedrooms. I would still come back and stay again. Also this house was a great value for the rental cost."

"Our kids and grandkids live in the Bay Area and we live in the Seattle area. This home was the perfect place for us to meet and spend Thanksgiving together. The 4 parents and the 4 kids slept upstairs and Grandma and Grandpa stayed in the downstairs suite - perfect for all! I will never forget the delight in the grandkids' faces as they explored the trails, the tree house, the pirate ship and the game room. They live in a big city so it was wonderful to give them the freedom to run and play. We especially enjoyed watching the deer around the property. The house was furnished with everything we needed. The towels and linens were nice. We spent one day at Yosemite and the rest of our stay at the house where we found plenty to do. We could text on our phones but had no strong cell service. That turned out to be great as we forgot about our electronics and spent quality time playing games, walking and visiting. Thank you to the thoughtful owner of this gorgeous property for creating some special memories for our family."
