  • Couldn't have been better!

"We were in Sacramento to visit our daughter for Thanksgiving. This condo is fantastic! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had a modern vibe but was very cozy. The condo was very well equipped and had everything to prepare a meal if you're so inclined. I'm planning on staying here for every visit to Sacramento."

  • Awesome rental. Right by the skopes of Mammoth Main Lodge

"This unit is well furnished, very clean and recently remodeled. Very spacious for two families. Location is tough to beat. It is a long walk for young kids to the lifts, but doable. The location of this unit on the property makes it very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely come back."

  • Great Family Vacation Home!

"We loved staying at this home. It fit our family gathering perfectly. The children enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings and evenings, and we even had a 4 pointer buck come up close to the deck. We had two babies and the home was even equipped with high chairs and daybeds for both babies. It had everything we needed and we didn't even have time to do all we wanted there. We spent one day at the Pine Mountain lake, which the kids loved, and found it to be an easy drive into Yosemite. Thank you to the owners for all the assistance in making our family comfortable and welcome."

  • Diana

"We rented this awesome cabin for a week and found it to be perfect! To call it a cabin is funny as it is a fully functiong home. We had plenty of rooms full of comy beds. Lots of furniture for everyone to sit & be comfortable. Great patio looking out to the hills and even had a few visiting horses & deer! I would come and stay here again!!"

Huntington Lake Travel Tips

Huntington Lake Vacation Rentals Place You on the Water

Huntington Lake is one of the best sailing lakes in California. Surrounded on three sides by mountains with dams edging the fourth side, a thermal effect is created that sustains westerly winds that average fifteen miles per hour—an ideal sailing pace. Launch your boat from several marinas on the lake and spend the day sunbathing on your deck. You can also rent a kayak or canoe and coast over placid waters. Of course, swimming, waterskiing, and jet skiing are also available.

Huntington Lake Is Not Just for Sailing

Bring a fishing pole and reel in a rainbow trout, Kokanne salmon, or a German brown to take home and grill up in your Huntington Lake vacation rental. Hike the lake basin and watch the streams that feed the lake flow with winter runoff. Watch for the first signs of the red spiky Snow Flower popping out of the ground to signal spring, and then head up the wilderness trails that climb the hillsides to granite summits. Bring a set of binoculars if you’re into bird watching, as there are plenty of birds to watch around the lake, especially when the weather starts to warm in the spring.

Winter in Huntington Lake Is Still Spectacular

Sierra Summit Mountain Resort offers great powdered slopes for skiers and snowboarders. At 7,030 feet, this summit is a peak to reckon with! Runs vary in difficulty and lessons are offered, so bring the whole family up for some snowy fun. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are often just a step out the door of Gold Country High Sierra cabins, so you can breathe in the fresh pines and clean mountain air all the way to your rental home. With Huntington Lake lodging so close to nature, you’ll forget your busy city life within a few minutes of arriving.
