"While the exterior is nothing special for this studio apartment unit, it is a fine affordable choice. Well furnished with a couple of decorative touches. Not a romantic spot. Murphy bed is awesome. Did not test fold out sofabed. Lots of blankets. Bring pillowcases as well as sheets and towels. No television, but a good radio/ CD player. Comfortable chair for reading. Gas BBQ out/ elec stovetop in . Coffee maker!! Lock box is on door facing the dirt lot where you park. Easy walk to grocery, brewpub, river park and "downtown". Great location for driving into Sequoia Natl Monument/ Forest. Excellent price when compared to others. Would use again."

"Came up to fish the Kern and ended up sitting through a good rainstorm, which made the cabin a perfect place to hang out. The wood burning stove kept us warm and the board games and cards kept the fun going even though we were indoors. Lynne made the stay exceptional with wool blankets to sit with, patio chairs to watch the water flow by and really comfortable bedding & nice towels. The area was really quiet and the neighbors were friendly when we saw them."

fabulous setting, spectacular views, comfortable house
"This is my third time staying here and have stayed in 2 of the 3 houses (red and yellow) in summer and fall. The houses are comfortable, kitchens are well outfitted, great barbecue patio. The view from the porches is idyllic - just mountains and the basin. The light is lovely morning and evening. Great place to say. Can't find a black widow, just lizards and birds."
