  • Great location and very comfy digs!

"Mammoth has been my second home outside of Los Angeles for the past 18 years. In that time, I watched the village actually get built to some extent. I never thought about staying there; our condo fit my fishing group just nicely. All the furniture was really comfortable, and there was an amazingly large teddy bear in the room -- which takes us to the first selling point: you can just stop reading here and just rent the room, if only to take pictures of you hanging out with this bear and posting that on instagram and facebook. Aside from that, the room entrance is located just about Lakanuki, which is kind of a fancy, high-altitude version of Island's. Anyway, it was great especially dealing with the owner, Leslie who did go out of her way to assist with our biggest one-off request: helping us purchase the pay-per-view Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight. In the end, this wasn't possible due to the way DirecTV was managed by the hotel property, and not the owner but for the amount of trouble we went through around town, it was really nice of Leslie to look into that for us! Everything is quite modern in the condo and it was definitely a home away from home experience. I have two minor complaints and will counter with why they were barely noticeable: 1) the internet speeds are REALLY slow there. Not just wi-fi, but even patched in directly to the router, we received speeds slower than most of our cellular hotspots could handle. This isn't a big deal, we were supposed to be on vacation, but my fishing team is a bunch of IT people and we were trying to figure out how to stream a pay-per-view site, so this was something we did notice. Expect down of <1Mbps and up of... a value measurable in Kbps. Alternatively, you can go outside and enjoy all that the town of mammoth has to offer. :) 2) Taking the trash out is a REALLY long walk, to the opposite side of the elevators. It's no fun when your friends are being jerks and not helping you, so if you have non-jerk friends and work as a team, this is also probably not an issue. :)"

  • Great location + lovely condo + helpful owners = Fantastic vacation!

"My husband, 9 y.o. son, and I stayed in this very nice condo for 4 nights while skiing at Mammoth. We didn't get in our car after parking it in the underground parking lot until it was time to leave. It's a short walk to the gondola that takes you to Canyon Lodge (where you can get lift tix, lockers, ski lessons, rentals, food, etc.) If you leave your skis and boots in one of the lockers at Canyon Lodge, you can take the gondola at the end of the day and not have to carry equipment back and forth. (I think it's $5/day for a key to the larger lockers, and you can open/lock them as often as you want. They have an option to pay each time you lock it.) I was able to text and email Teresa and she responded very promptly. She is totally on top of things, and went out of her way to be helpful. The condo is very comfortable, has a gas fireplace in the living room which was really nice, and is clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was well-stocked, there is a dishwasher with soap provided, and it was clean and in good condition. There were more towels provided than we could have possibly needed in the bathrooms, and the tub I used was very deep and very comfortable. Much appreciated after a long day of skiing. I prefer being in the Village where you have Starbucks, several very good restaurants, and shops in easy walking distance than a ski-in/ski-out condo (which I was originally looking for). The gondola makes it super easy to get to the mountain. I also recommend Black Tie rentals. I tried them for the first time and was very impressed. I made reservations on the phone, and had a ton of questions. They were very knowledgeable and patient. Two polite and helpful Black Tie employees came up to our room (on time) with our equipment and had options for each of us based on what kind of skier we are, etc. After we were finished skiing on the last day, they picked up the equipment at the front desk. (Even though the condo isn't rented out by the staff at the front desk, the bell staff were happy to help us. It was well worth the tip for the staff member who handled this.) I would absolutely recommend this condo to friends and family, and I plan to come back next time we ski Mammoth. My 9 y.o. son enjoyed watching some of the DVD's that were available, and loved walking around the Village. Definitely family friendly!"

  • Superb Property

"This is a fantastic property. The facilities and the amenities are top notch. Lisa is very responsive and made the reservation process a painless one. The unit is street-level and close to the main entrance, making loading/unloading easy. There is also a small patio for apres ski activities. In short, this property will not disappoint."
