  • Wonderful MLK Weekend in a Beautiful Log Home

"Myself and 9 of my friends rented this beautiful log cabin from Susan over MLK weekend. We had 4 couples and 2 singles and the sleeping arrangements could not have been more perfect. The house was gorgeous, so much space. Everyone had plenty of room to be together or if you wanted some time alone there was plenty of room for that too. The house was very warm, the fires were cozy and the main floors were heated. We cooked breakfast in the awesome kitchen each morning before hitting the slopes, including using the griddle on the stove to make pancakes. We also made a grand feast for everyone the last night we were there, which was easy to do as there were plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, glasses, etc. and basic spices in the house. The house is located walking distance to the Village where you can catch the Village gondola to Main Lodge for skiing/snowboarding or to go get something to eat or shop. The shuttle is also very close, which we did not take advantage of, and the grocery store is a short 5 min drive away. We used the hot tub multiple times throughout the day, it goes as high as 104, and we comfortably fit 7 of us in there at once - the hot tub was everyone's favorite as it is very necessary after 8 hours on the slopes. There is one TV on the main floor and a huge TV with DVR in the upstairs, so when people wanted to watch the playoffs we had to all cuddle in the master bedroom to watch that - although any other weekend I don't think we would have been watching much TV so it would not have been an issue. We brought the wii to hook up in the game room, but we had so much fun hanging on the patio, the hot tub and watching the games we unfortunately did not use the game room very much, but it was great, with lots of board games and another TV in it. I also think the owner, Susan, made the trip. She is so responsive and easy to get in touch with. She called me within moments of me sending her the inquiry, answered all of my silly questions as I began packing and wondering what we did or did not need to bring and sent the security deposit back in no time. The neighborhood is safe and so pretty and the neighbors were great, they were out on their patio using the hot tub, said hello, but completely gave us our privacy. Next time I come back to Mammoth I am definitely calling Susan up again, her house was amazing and had such a great log cabin in the woods feel, with having all if not more of the amenities you expect at your own home."

  • Village Gem

"My husband and I recently stayed in this condo and were very happy we found it online. The owner was very easy to work with and the payment process was nice and easy. Good value for the price we paid. The master bedroom was roomy as was the bathroom with plenty of storage space. Beds and couches were comfortable. We would definitely stay there again."

  • Wedding in Mammoth

"My daughter got married in Mammoth over the Thanksgiving holiday and the condo was an excellent place to entertain the entire family and friends. Lots of room, great amentities and very warm and homey. I'd recommend this to anyone on a family or girls get-away weekend. Walking distance to the Village and the underground parking garage were added benefits! Would rent it again....."

  • Very nice condo right in the village

"We stayed here for 3 nights following a 4 day backpack trip we did out of Rock Creek. We were looking to treat ourselves to some R&R after roughing it. The condo was perfect for our family ... it was the perfect amount of space for the 5 of us, very clean, comfortable beds, modern and updated bathrooms and kitchen , a nice view out to the pool, and within walking distance to all the restaurants, coffee shops, and free public trolley/bus system. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was upon arrival the condo was very warm ... I am not sure if there was a problem with the A/C unit but we could not get it to cool down below 80 degrees that night and all had a hard time sleeping ... and after backpacking for 4 days was a little disappointed we had to spend a night of our R&R hot and uncomfortable. I called the next morning though and a couple of box fans were brought right over to us and did the trick and we were more than comfortable for the rest of our stay. The kitchen has all the accommodations to prepare meals and then some or you are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from various eateries. Our favorite was to hit up Happy Hour and enjoy half price appetizers and cocktails. We spent most of our time lounging, taking walks, eating ice creams , watching movies, swimming in the pool, taking hot tubs in the evening ... the perfect end to a backpacking trip. One day we did take the free trolley to the Lake Basins and rented a couple of paddle boats on Lake Mary ... that was blast. Thank you for a great time ... we will certainly be back ... we love the Mammoth area with it's plethora of outdoor activities and really enjoy being right in the village with everything so close by."

The Village Travel Tips

Make the Village Condos Your Ski Lodge

If you are looking for the best in California skiing and snowboarding, Mammoth Mountain is the place to go. The Village condos are located in the heart of Mammoth ski country. Mammoth Mountain vacation rentals bring luxurious mountain lodge living to you and your party. Spacious living areas and private bedrooms, close proximity to the slopes, and gourmet kitchens are some of the amenities offered. Don't like to cook? Some of the Village lodging homes offer gourmet catered meals, delivered straight to your door. Others are ideally suited to skiers, providing boot dryers and complimentary ski valets.

The Scenic Gondola

Every trip to Mammoth should start with a scenic gondola ride. The gondola offers panoramic views of some of the most beautiful scenery in California. Once at the 11,000 foot summit, visit the Sierra Interpretive Center or get a bite to eat at the top of the Sierra Cafe. Many skiers use the gondola to reach the more challenging Mammoth Mountain ski runs. The trip is not to be missed and is just steps away from all of the Village condos.

Winter Sports on Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain is a winter wonderland with more to do than any single vacation will allow. If you want to look around the region of the Village lodging before you decide to ski or snowboard, take a trip around the mountain on a snowcat or dog sled. Want to ease into your winter sport? Sledding, snowmobiling, tobogganing, and a host of other light winter sports are all waiting for you on the mountain. Refresh old skills or learn new ones at topnotch ski and snowboarding schools. If downhill runs lack the thrill you seek, try Mammoth Mountain's "Unbound Terrain Parks." Three half-pipes of differing skill levels provide pipe riders with the ultimate snowboarding experience.
