  • Wonderful MLK Weekend in a Beautiful Log Home

"Myself and 9 of my friends rented this beautiful log cabin from Susan over MLK weekend. We had 4 couples and 2 singles and the sleeping arrangements could not have been more perfect. The house was gorgeous, so much space. Everyone had plenty of room to be together or if you wanted some time alone there was plenty of room for that too. The house was very warm, the fires were cozy and the main floors were heated. We cooked breakfast in the awesome kitchen each morning before hitting the slopes, including using the griddle on the stove to make pancakes. We also made a grand feast for everyone the last night we were there, which was easy to do as there were plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, glasses, etc. and basic spices in the house. The house is located walking distance to the Village where you can catch the Village gondola to Main Lodge for skiing/snowboarding or to go get something to eat or shop. The shuttle is also very close, which we did not take advantage of, and the grocery store is a short 5 min drive away. We used the hot tub multiple times throughout the day, it goes as high as 104, and we comfortably fit 7 of us in there at once - the hot tub was everyone's favorite as it is very necessary after 8 hours on the slopes. There is one TV on the main floor and a huge TV with DVR in the upstairs, so when people wanted to watch the playoffs we had to all cuddle in the master bedroom to watch that - although any other weekend I don't think we would have been watching much TV so it would not have been an issue. We brought the wii to hook up in the game room, but we had so much fun hanging on the patio, the hot tub and watching the games we unfortunately did not use the game room very much, but it was great, with lots of board games and another TV in it. I also think the owner, Susan, made the trip. She is so responsive and easy to get in touch with. She called me within moments of me sending her the inquiry, answered all of my silly questions as I began packing and wondering what we did or did not need to bring and sent the security deposit back in no time. The neighborhood is safe and so pretty and the neighbors were great, they were out on their patio using the hot tub, said hello, but completely gave us our privacy. Next time I come back to Mammoth I am definitely calling Susan up again, her house was amazing and had such a great log cabin in the woods feel, with having all if not more of the amenities you expect at your own home."

  • Madden Family

"I can't but say wonderful things about this studio at the monache at the village. Last minute planning for the fourth. Carol was a delightful person to work with. She contacted me back right away and got me and my family the room. It was a perfect spot to see the fireworks. The room was wonderful with great views of the village and just a short walk to the village. Perfect spot for everything that you would want to do in mammoth. My family and I will be back next year for sure. Now I want to see her other condo's and stay for New Years. Thank you again Carol for all your help and fast response back when I needed something."
