"Our family of five plus good friends and their young daughter enjoyed two nights at this great cabin. It was very clean, more than big enough to accommodate our party and ideally set up for families with young kids. The view of the private pond/lake from the deck, along with the lush greenery and mountainous backdrop of evergreens, was very special. We made great use of the playground (swings, slides, etc.) and basketball court, as well as the rope swing out over the pond. The kids were delighted with the pollywogs, the family of geese (including five goslings), the red-winged blackbirds living in the pond reeds, and the chorus of birdsong and frog-song in the evening. And when they'd had their fill of nature, the Ping-Pong table was a great hit, along with the big flat-screen TV in the living room. There are also a lot of board games and puzzles available.
The beds were comfortable and amply stocked with pillows and blankets. Unlike some rental cabins, you will need to bring your own linens (sheets, towels, dish rags, etc.) and hand soaps, and there isn't the usual collection of odds, ends and condiments left in the fridge door, so you will want to make sure to plan for those. If you're particular, you may also want to bring a good butcher's knife. However, basic spices and even a few more unusual dry items were stocked, along with ample glasses, dishes, bowls, pots, pans and cooking utensils.
We very much hope we get an opportunity to return to this lovely spot again soon."
