"My family (including toddler son and dog) spent two nights at the house and had a good time. We used the house as a base for going up to Silver Lake for an afternoon of hiking. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay."Guest: Jules Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 20, 2014View listing
"We went to stay at the cabin as a family (that included our dog!) It was absolutely amazing experience. The cabin was cozy and equipped with everything that we needed. Very conveniently located, with many creeks and lakes around. We will be back!!"Guest: Anjulia Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing
"I rented this house to provide extra sleeping space for our local family reunion. It was perfect for that purpose!"Guest: KCat Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 6, 2014View listing
"Absolutely wonderful house. We stayed with 2 families, 10 people total. We split the levels by family which made for sufficient privacy while still enjoying time together. The children ranged from 4 year old to 13 year old plus one college student - the game room was such a great place that gave us quiet space in the house while they played there. The pond was great for a quick cool-off and we enjoyed the daring dive into the cold water, it was too cold to swim in for longer periods. Luckily there was a fence with a gate that between the house and the pool so we did not have to watch the 4year old too much. The pond could be observed well from the deck too. The lot is quiet with lots of dense trees that give shade. There is a small park with geese close by the house and lots of blackberry bushes everywhere around the area. We had deer going right over the property. If we had any complaints it would be that we had to leave the house to drive to hiking trails (which are great sierra hiking trails - just need to drive 30 minutes up 88 with lots of scenery). A bit more cutlery would have helped too, but we managed with some plastic additional ones. Otherwise well stacked kitchen with all you need - pots / pans / sheets for the oven. It was a great house for two families together in one house. Note that the house is a bit older, but it is equipped with all that is needed, everything was clean when we arrived. We got the deposit right back as well and the owner was very helpful in emails that we exchanged. We plan to go back!"Guest: Matt Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
Pioneer Travel Tips
Take a Trek Back in Time When You Stay in Pioneer Vacation Rentals
Pioneer vacation rentals are located in the heart of California's Golf Country. Pioneer and the surrounding cities are rich in history. Pioneer Vacation Rentals Bring History and Adventure Together
Gold is the reason that this area of California exists. Pioneer vacation rentals let you explore the history of the Gold Rush, while taking you on exciting outdoor adventures at the same time. While you're staying in Gold Country, try your hand at panning for gold. Geologists estimate that 85–90 percent of the gold is still in the ground. Search for gold on your own, or find a local guide to help. You can also put on a hard hat and go underground to see how the miners worked. Pioneer and many of the surrounding areas have gold mine tours available.
Relax on the Golf Course When You Stay in Pioneer Lodging
When you've had enough of history, relax on one of the many golf courses. Pioneer lodging is located close to several amazing courses in the Sierra foothills. There are six championship courses in the area including Mountain Springs Golf Club, Greenhorn Creek, Pine Mt. Lake, Forest Meadows, and Saddlecreek Golf Resort. Pack your clubs and head out to hit a few balls while staying in Pioneer lodging.
