  • "For my daughter's birthday in September, I reserved the cabin at Camp Watanda. I actually made the reservations way back in March and was pleased with the wonderful communication from the owners. There were no surprises when we arrived, and since it was "self check in"..we were able to arrive on our own schedule. Even though my daughter had broken her foot days before the trip and was in a cast, we had a wonderful time. The cabin was so clean and well stocked and especially cozy! The lake was low, but there was plenty of wildlife and my grandson thoroughly enjoyed himself. The whole experience was amazing.. restful and peaceful. I highly recommend this location to anyone who needs to get away, without really being that far off the grid. I can't wait for our next trip to paradise."

  • Great family cabin

"Excellent cabin and location for families. Quiet neighborhood that is excellent for walking. Close to Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge. Also a nice restaurant (Mias) that is a mile walk or short drive...great food for all ages and even an back patio for warm afternoons. If you travel a short few miles south, you can enjoy Long Barn (ice skating) or Twain Harte for mini golf, shopping and some nice family restaurants. On the way up or down to the cabin, be sure to visit Jamestown... Railtown 1897 is a blast for the whole family... and then you can choose from a half dozen great places to eat. Just be sure to save some time for the Cabin's back deck... you can sit, relax and enjoy the tranquility of the forest....or soak in the hot tub after a great hike around Pinecrest lake! Very peaceful place."

  • Sweet Spot in Grass Valley

"Charming & well appointed studio with almost everything you need for a short or extended stay. Definitely 10 degrees or more cooler under the shade of the trees by the creek in the summer. Private patio, kitchen (larger than a kitchenette), comfortable bed, DTV and more. The owners are very easy to interact with & my cleaning/security deposit made it back to my house before I returned home."

  • Nice stay!

"Owner was very sweet and helpfully. My husband and I were not a big fan of the bed but we are picky and you can't please everyone. Everything else was great! Nice, clean and cute! We would gladly go back!"
