"The location could not be better. The setting is very romantic. The water roars past you with an almost hypnotizing tone. The studio is well equipped, but it needs some tender loving care. Comparing these accommodations to others we have visited in he same price range as this unit; it is overpriced. Three Rivers has two barely acceptable restaurants so don't expect too much in that arena.
Getting to the unit and its riverside patio is dangerous. It is very definitively not a place that anyone with a physical handicap should consider. I would not recommend it for anyone over 70; unless you are in very good shape and are very active.
The giant grove an d Crystal cave is about 1 hour from the unit; the Grant Grove is about 2 hours away.
We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend the place to some of my friends, but not all. It is just too dangerous."

"My young daughter and I had a great experience while at this cabin. It was spacious, comfortable, and cozy. It had everything we needed to stay comfortable! The location was also perfect, and even the backyard and surrounding areas offered beautiful views, nice walks/hikes, including a swing. My daughter and I had a wonderful week of quiet time together and enjoyed evening walks to the nearby lodge for happy hour. I would 100% recommend this rental for any family!"

"I have to agree with what others are saying that the photos don't do this place justice. We just got back from a trip to Yellowstone and my wife was commenting on how she loved staying at Starry Oaks when we went to Sequoia NP. Made me realize I needed to write a review and tell Elaine and Kimon how much we enjoyed staying at their place. Thank you, thank you! It was everything we needed and then some.
My wife was mentioning how much she enjoyed the walk around your property. We had a great time at the park seeing the beauty of nature and the magnificent trees but it is rare to actually be able to stay at a vacation home and be able to go for a walk on the property and enjoy the beauty of nature there as well. The surrounding beauty of the grounds along with the convenient location, spacious home and all the extras made this a perfect place for our family of five. My wife and three teenage kids were extremely comfortable in this home. Was very nice to have a second bathroom with 3 bedrooms at such a reasonable price.
The attention to detail with the Booklet that listed everything in the house and where it was located along with Park information and local attractions was AWESOME. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend, so much better than a hotel or camping."

"I have stayed at several condos, apartments, houses and cabins during the past several years and have to say this cabin has been the highlight of them all. The cabin is very quiet and secluded but close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The décor is fantastic and the amenities were far beyond what was expected. The kitchen was much more fully furnished than expected which made cooking far more enjoyable. My brother, his wife, and my sister accompanied me on this trip and each of them had very positive comments on the cabin. We arrived late at night so Sandy had sent me information on how to get into the cabin and left a note for me to call them the next morning. Herb stopped by the following morning and explained several things about the cabin and what to expect (such as animals and other critters). Sandy stopped by a couple days later and was as welcoming as Herb. They are a very gracious couple and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with them both. One of the best things about the cabin is that there is no cell phone service. This especially helped to get away from daily demands and enjoy some downtime. If you are looking for accommodations with close proximity to city life of restaurants and entertainment, this is not the place. This cabin provides lots of solitude, nature loving sites and sounds. It is fantastic. Thank you Herb and Sandy."
