Recent Three Rivers reviews

  • Summer vacation

"We had a FANTASTIC time. Excellent river swimming in you own private swimming hole. My 10 yr old son and friend loved the swimming. Sequoia Nat'l Park was 20 mins away. There is no cell or TV reception, so be sure to bring lots of DVD's to watch if you'll be staying indoors. My son wants to return next year. Great summer vacation spot!! Home is older, but has all your needs."

  • Beautiful

"I read all of the reviews after I booked the cabin and was very pleased. There is nothing like getting away from it all. We had four adults (two seniors) and my husband and I took the porch. The evenings were cool and comfortable. I would wake up in the middle of the night and I was surrounded by stars. I want to move in... Vincent and Maya were there when we arrived. Provided a bowl full of oranges for juice and a tremendous short cut to Kings Canyon. This is a place I will definitely visit again."

  • Amazing home in beautiful location

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights stay at this beautiful house with a fantastic view of Morro Rock; very short distance from entrance to Sequoia NP. The house has very comfortable furnishings, spacious bedrooms and multilevel deck by the river ( which I loved it !!). Owner is great to work with; provided us with very useful information about this area. We enjoyed hiking in Giant Forest, Crescent Meadow, watching sunset from Morro Rock and visiting Crystal Caves. We will definitely recommend this house to family and friends!"

  • perfection on the river!

"This property is a gem! We went as a family of 4 (10 yr old son/ 6 yr old daughter) stayed in the barn house on the river. It was more then big enough for our small family and could have easily had a second family join and still have family privacy. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you would have in your own house (inc towels for the river). satellite cable, internet and phone is inside however, there is NO internet, text or phone service outside the house- which made for a wonderful device free weekend! The river is FABULOUS! Perfect for the kids in most spots this time of year to safely rock hop. Most of the bigger swim holes were deep with waterfalls in various spots along the river. Our concern before renting was the river would be low due to the drought- not a problem! There are great hikes around the property and along the river- especially for kids. My 6 yr old needed help in the river as the rocks are slippery and shes not a strong swimmer. But, she was easily able to hike around the beautiful property. Next time we need to bring better "rock hopping shoes" shoes are a necessity to get around the rocks safely. The animals were a close second favorite to the river for all of us. There are 12 cows, 2 horses, couple dogs, cats, Koi, and beautiful peacocks. All roam the property. The caretakers gave the kids enough food for the weekend to feed the horses and koi. They loved to wake each morning to visit and feed them. It made the trip extra special. We choose to enjoy the property as it was a weekend trip. Our next trip we would venture off the property a bit more to enjoy Sequoia Park and other hiking area. If you are staying on property plan to bring all food and drinks with you. The store is close in miles but takes 20-25 minute drive down to it (on a narrow curvy road) its a small store which may not have what your looking for. Same for restaurants- not many to choose from. Pizza place was good. The house has a wonderful BBQ area and firepit- super easy to cook and use if you bring your own food. My ONLY negative which we were prewarned about was the water in the house. It had a sulfur type smell. The water is well and low this time of year which gives it the smell. The upstairs bathroom and lower kitchen for some reason wasn't as bad as the lower 2 baths. (We didn't use the upper kitchen) We are very much looking forward to return to this property in the Spring!"

When you head to Gold Country in California, you will find that you want lodging that is close to the things you plan to do. Three Rivers cabins will do just that. Instead, you get the comforts of home, as well as the convenience.

Wine and Dine in Gold Country

Many people who head to California for their vacations plan to head to a winery or two. There are many great wineries near your Three Rivers cabins. The Boeger Winery is well known for its viognier, and is a great stop for those who are interested in wines. If chocolate is your passion, then Yosemite Fudge is a great place to stop and stock up. Don't forget to share with the family or group when you get back to your Three Rivers lodging! For those who are health conscious, Cozmic Cafe is the perfect stop. This restaurant has a full menu of organic foods, with a large variety of great vegetarian delights.

If you are looking to head out on the town, step out of your Gold Country High Sierra vacation rentals and into Coopers. Not only can you get local wines, but you also get live music!
