  • Cozy and comfortable

"We stayed in the cabin for just a weekend, but I wish we could have stayed longer. We had crisp fall weather -- with all the colors it felt a bit like New England. The cabin was warm and extremely comfortable. Despite the rustic charm the cabin is quite new so everything is in great working shape. The decor is very tasteful, which adds to the coziness of the place. Our dog loved it there too. Scott has just the right touch as a host; he came by to welcome us when we arrived and let us know he was right nearby in case we needed anything. Nevada City is a great little town for drinking, dining, just walking around, etc. We also spent a nice afternoon walking around nearby Empire Mine Park. I highly recommend the cabin for a get-away and hope we'll get back there ourselves when we can stay a little longer."

  • Excellent space!

"We stayed in the house for a little reunion with friends, to visit yosemite. Although the drive to the entrance is little less than an hour (+ another hour from the gates to the actual park) the drive is beautiful!, there's Bass Lake nearby, so we made a stop on our way to Yosemite, so, the drive is really not an issue. There's a gas station just 3 min. away from the house, which is very convenient (also, the town is really close with "big" stores like vons, etc). The grill is a bit small considering the amount of people that fits in the house, and one of the bathrooms was out of service during our stay. (would have been nice to have the 3 bathrooms available). But still, a great place to stay and share with friends and family! The gazebo makes a great stop to just rest and enjoy the view. :)"

  • Weekend stay for a rafting trip

"The owner of the cabin was very quick to respond and answered all my questions. My group, all co-workers, traveled to Groveland for a whitewater rafting trip. The rafting company was only 3 miles away from the cabin, which couldn't have worked out any better. Our group consisted of 16 people, of which only two were a couple. We rented the bunkhouse, along with the cabin. The sleeping arrangements were more than adequate and everyone had their own area to sleep. The cabin was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed for a great weekend stay. The group really enjoyed the outside fire pit and BBQ area. The group couldn't stop praising the cabin, bunkhouse and outdoor activities. I'd highly recommend the cabin and our group is already talking about coming back next year."

  • Would love to go back!

"Our two-family group of 12 had such a nice visit. We loved exploring the area, but were also very happy to just spend time in this lovely home! The setting is so beautiful. We loved sitting on the back patio and taking in the rolling hills and distant mountains. Bass Lake is close; and we even made the 35 minute trip to the Vons in Oakhurst to stock the kitchen for the week. Mark was an excellent host who was there for any needs, but pretty much left us to ourselves."
