"We rented the house for the summer and were pleasantly surprised about kirkwood. It has great outdoor trails, located between 2 lakes (for boating etc.,) and a quite place to get away from the daily grind.
The house was stocked with antiques and was great to live in and get all of us around the dinner table. It was very comfortable and would recommend for anyone visiting kirkwood."

"We spent a long weekend at at his cabin (with our dog) and enjoyed every minute. The property was clean and well appointed, private yet accessible to about a zillion trails (mostly dirt bike trails but they can double as hiking and bike trails if you are careful). We hit a fantastic stretch of weather, too! Many thanks to the owners for the thoughtful way they have designed and now share their property."

"My family of 5+dog spent 7 summer days here before going to Yosemite where we were being put up by Grandpa in the Yosemite Lodge...and none of us wanted to leave! The upgrades and furnishings were all terrific. The kids had a great time in the community room playing pool, ping-pong, and foosball, and the fire pit made it possible to have 6 nights of s'mores in a row. The beds were all comfortable, access to the trolley was directly across the street and the gondola from The Village to Canyon was running the entire time we stayed for the National Mountain Biking Championship races - so getting around was FUN for the kids AND adults. I couldn't get the DVD player working on the main TV, but the owner responded right away when I asked for help. I didn't even bother trying though, because the great wifi access allowed my kids to watch a movie on the iPad if they needed plugging in for a few minutes."

"This was our third stay at this cabin. As usual it was wonderful. We live busy lives and it is nice to take a few days every once and a while to get away and enjoy a truely magical, secluded, comfortable and relaxing place like this cabin.
Linda, the property manager, is wonderful as well. She makes everything easy from payment to getting you all the information you need to have a great stay. I can not recommend this cabin enough, it truely is a hidden gem in Nevada City!"
