"One of the most pleasant homes I've rented in Twain Harte for a smaller group. Clean, comfortable, cozy and decorated with care. Well maintained. We spent long days at the lake, and then watched the moon and stars from the small balcony off the master bedroom. We enjoyed dinner on the lower deck as a family of deer grazed in the neighbor's yard. There is little or no traffic in front of the house. Peaceful. There are several stairs leading to one entry. An uphill walk around the other side of the house takes you to the 'front' door as an alternative. (A slightly graduated path leading to the front door could be a welcomed addition.) Jihan was gracious and accommodating throughout our trip planning and stay. I hope to visit again."

"Picture a place like this:
An oasis with green grass, trees for shade, and rustic wooden tables and benches. Butterflies fluttering around fragrant lavender bushes that perfume the breeze. Whimsical wind chimes and dozens of hummingbirds flitting about. Resident dogs Loki and Mini playing in the grass and chasing lizards. A pleasant creek filled with little fish for the dogs to pounce on. Nightly bonfires with a cold beer and warm conversation. A luxurious hot tub and pool to relax in after a long day. Cozy cottage with a comfy bed and beautiful view, interesting books to capture the imagination, and all the necessary comforts of home. No expense spared on gorgeous fixtures and architectural design.
All of the above describes the enchanted grounds and ambiance of Spinning Wheel, where the Crescent Cottage is nestled away from the activity of Yosemite. If it sounds like a fairytale come to life, that's because that's precisely what this place is.
My husband and I stayed here for three days in the midst of a California road trip. Boy, we wish we had planned to stay longer. Spinning Wheel was a huge part of what made our time in Yosemite our favorite part of the trip. After hiking all day and exploring the beauty of the park, we relished coming home to our little cottage and the beautiful Spinning Wheel grounds. I've never seen anything like it, and I can't emphasize enough the pure MAGIC and specialness of this place.
Owner Dharma and property manager Patrick were extremely friendly and inviting. They make you feel like family friends there for a visit. Extremely laid back and pleasant people.
It's not a question of if but WHEN we will return to Spinning Wheel, and we are dying to bring friends because simply telling people about this place doesn't do it justice. Do yourself a favor and book yourself an extra day or two at Spinning Wheel. I have no doubt that this place will become as special to you as it is to me, and probably every guest who stays there.
We can't wait to return."

"My family of 5+dog spent 7 summer days here before going to Yosemite where we were being put up by Grandpa in the Yosemite Lodge...and none of us wanted to leave! The upgrades and furnishings were all terrific. The kids had a great time in the community room playing pool, ping-pong, and foosball, and the fire pit made it possible to have 6 nights of s'mores in a row. The beds were all comfortable, access to the trolley was directly across the street and the gondola from The Village to Canyon was running the entire time we stayed for the National Mountain Biking Championship races - so getting around was FUN for the kids AND adults. I couldn't get the DVD player working on the main TV, but the owner responded right away when I asked for help. I didn't even bother trying though, because the great wifi access allowed my kids to watch a movie on the iPad if they needed plugging in for a few minutes."
