Quiet and relaxing home
"This home was a great weekend vacation for my family! After spending many hours at the lake and around Groveland, it was great coming back to this spacious home to play some pool table and ping pong. The community was really welcoming and we would highly recommend this quiet and clean home!"

"We had a really lovely time staying at this house. It was clean & comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there are lots of board games & dvds to keep you occupied. The main purpose of our trip was to visit Yosemite, so we were only there in the mornings & evenings, but it was a great place to hang out & rest up for the next day.
The area the house is in seems to be more of a summer vacation destination and a lot of the neighboring houses were empty, so it was very sedate & quiet while we were there - which is what we were looking for! I imagine that it's a lot more bustling in the summer. Pine Mtn Lake is quite lovely and looks like a great place to hang out, especially if you like water sports. Groveland itself is a cute town, with a nice market and several small businesses - shops, cafes, etc.
The owner was very pleasant to deal with and provided us with lots of good information about the house (directions, check in/out directions, info about the Resort, etc). We would definitely consider staying at this house again!"

"Very spacious house. Incredibly comfortable and clean. Martina, the owner is a very accommodating lady and ensured that our stay was care-free. We were able to barbecue and eat dinner outside on the very nice upper deck, which was extremely private.
There are laundry facilities at the home and detergent was furnished. One of the best features, downstairs in the finished basement (with full bath) was a ping-pong table! Yes, this was part of our nightly entertainment and very enjoyable after a full day in Yosemite - an EASY 30 min. drive to the park entrance.
Cons (very minor):
- the complex charges you $20 for your stay for "use of facilities" associated with the lake, etc. Frankly, I paid extra for beach rental equip and for dining at their "premier" restaurant at the golf club. So, I'm not really sure why they levy this fee. No, it's not much, but, if you extend your stay at another property in this complex, you will have to pay the $20 again. Seems bogus, but what do I know? All in all, the price of this property is a bargain and the area is quite beautiful.
If you are looking for fine dining, forget about it. The area is relatively bereft of choices. Steer clear of Buck Meadows restaurant, approx 10 mi. away on the road to Yosemite. You are way better off cooking at home. That said, the Groveland Inn had some pretty decent food, although both of my initial choices were sold out. But the food was quite good there, in spite of that.
There is an area market that is well-stocked. Don't buy beef there - it is very tough. Instead, take a drive to Sonora - a good-sized town with numerous restaurants and large grocery store(s).
All in all, this stay was worth every penny! My GF concurs. A better value you won't find. Don't even bother booking a hotel! Compared with a VRBO property like this, there is NO comparison!
Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Martina!"

"Our family of seven stayed very comfortably in this home. There was plenty of room to spread out. The downstairs bedroom did not have AC so the kids staying in that room were a little warm, but the ceiling fan in the room helped. We did notice that two of the bathrooms were extremely small and cramped, but it was still nice to have three bathrooms for a large family. There were plenty of beds, and there were even fold-out cushion beds stored in the master bedroom closet. The master bedroom was quite roomy and the bed itself very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the deer wandering through the yard and the beautiful lake right down the road."
