  • Amazing only begins to describe this fabulous home

"If we could select 10 stars we would. Everything we ever hoped for in a quality rental home was here...and more. From the amazing help and information from the owner ahead of our booking to the actual property itself was exceptional. Our 2 girls (8 and 7) adored this special home from the recessed windows, the gorgeous peaceful setting, the wildlife...everything! It was immaculately clean, organized, tidy with comfortable beautiful bedrooms and special touches that added to an amazing stay. From the washer/dryer with detergent provided to basics like the 'emergency coffee' - every area was covered! We HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone seeking bliss away from home but especially to those with high standards and who appreciate a beautiful home."

  • Clean, comfortable, and convenient

"This was our first visit to Mariposa and our first attempt with VRBO, and we couldn't be happier! The house is lovely and very well maintained. It was very clean and well stocked. The sheets and towels appear to be new, as do the appliances. You can tell that the owners have a great deal of pride in their property and in providing their guests with a great place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and I will recommend to our friends if they're in the area. The location was great. Nothing in Mariposa can be far, but this house in particular was very close to the supermarket and to one of the YARTS stops. The owners recommended the Sugar Pine Cafe, which was delicious, as was the Pizza Factory. We went to both twice. The drive into Yosemite wasn't bad -- maybe 1.5 hours or a bit less. We did it several times and it was easy and scenic. Highly recommend both the property and the town."

  • Perfect Two Family Accommodation

"Our two families (aged 16 to 55) thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at HWL in July. The property is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable and at home the moment we walked through the door. This was our base while visiting all the attractions in Yosemite and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area. The only negative point I could make is that surprisingly there wasn't an iron & ironing board to smarten up our creased clothes - although Kris tells me she is in the process of addressing this. Still a fantastic find!"

  • Great place for family reunion

"My family visited Mariposa, Yosemite area mid July 2014. We had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home. We had a wonderful time! This house was perfect for our family reunion. It was also convenient to both entrances to Yosemite park as well as two very lovely towns. Everything went great through VRBO and Eve was wonderful to deal with, there were no issues with our rental and communication was the best. Never used VRBO, but will again after this great experience. Thanks"
