  • Love this place

"This is a delightful midcentury property with everything we needed for an anniversary stay near Yosemite. Filled with art and history and nice example of mid-century architecture and decor. It took us an hour or so to drive all the way into the park, and this little home away from home was everything we needed for pleasant mornings and evenings in. We had our anniversary lunch at the Ahwahnee and cooked a couple of fine steaks at "our Oakhurst home" that evening. In Oakhurst you have everything you need for a wide selection of groceries. For dinner you can try Crabcakes and there's Pete's for a huge breakfast. But we really enjoyed making the most of this house."

  • Very nice apartment and great location!

"My husband and I and another couple stayed in the upstairs apartment, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. First of all, know that this is a very nice apartment and the location close to Glacier Point Road was truly appreciated. It was good to have such a place to stay in the park as we experienced some of the wonders of Yosemite with good friends. However, there are a few things just to keep in mind. 1) There are many steps inside as well as outside to get to the upstairs apartment. And, given the higher altitude, we older folks noticed it. 2) There is wi-fi, but it is very limited. Also, having cell-phone service in Yosemite should not be expected. 3) We did find backing our cars out of the driveway a little bit of a challenge because of it's layout and bushes along the edges. 4) On the afternoon of our arrival we wanted to talk to the owner for a couple of reasons, and my husband called phone numbers on the list provided. He left messages, but we never received a response. It was somewhat disconcerting to be unable to talk with the owner. Fortunately we managed on our own, with the help of many how-to instructions that were provided for various things. Again, a very nice apartment in a great locale."

  • Warm, homey and perfect!!

"When I walked into this wonderful cabin/home, I realized that it was exactly what I was looking for and more. My husband, adult son and I stayed for 3 nights. The first thing that I saw was a hand written welcome note from Annie and Rick, giving us extra tips about the house and the area. The home has the feel of a cabin, with all of the modern conveniences. The kitchen and living room are one big open area. The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets, if needed. The heat was great and easy to turn on/adjust. The TV worked well. There were plenty of towels and we did some of our wash. The washer and dryer were easy to use. The house has a lot of personal touches to make it feel homey. Annie is an artist and her beautiful paintings of the Yosemite area, decorate the house. Annie and Rick left a notebook with info about the house and lots of info about Yosemite; places to visit, maps, etc. They also have a variety of books about Yosemite and the area, with history and pictures. They were interesting and helpful to us. The house was easy to find, with excellent directions, and although there are other houses in the area, it feels very private. We cooked on the BBQ grill on the deck and made breakfasts at the house. The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, nice dishes, cups, silverware, coffee, tea, spices and etc. The house is pretty central to many areas in Yosemite. We drove to visitor's Centers and took the shuttle to areas that we wanted to see. The house was as pictured in the rental listing and better! The house was very clean and obviously well maintained. The yard area had been raked, while leaving a natural setting. Although we didn't have a need to call Annie and Rick, I would have felt perfectly comfortable doing so. Renting the property was easy. We also walked around the property, watching a sunrise from a little hill in the yard area, while deer bounded by. I would highly recommend the property to family and friends, and hope to go back someday myself. If you love the feel of a private, beautiful cabin in the woods, you will love this place!!"

  • Perfect for our little family!

"If you are looking for a place to stay in Yosemite, look no further! My husband, our 16 month old son, my SIL and I all stayed at this condo for a long weekend. It was a great size for that many people and the sleeping alcove worked perfectly for my SIL. They even provided a screen if you want a little more privacy. The kitchen was wonderful and gave us ideas on how to design our next remodel! For parents of babies/toddlers: a booster seat and pack-n-play were provided at the unit. The location was perfect for exploring all of Yosemite!"
