  • Love this place

"This is a delightful midcentury property with everything we needed for an anniversary stay near Yosemite. Filled with art and history and nice example of mid-century architecture and decor. It took us an hour or so to drive all the way into the park, and this little home away from home was everything we needed for pleasant mornings and evenings in. We had our anniversary lunch at the Ahwahnee and cooked a couple of fine steaks at "our Oakhurst home" that evening. In Oakhurst you have everything you need for a wide selection of groceries. For dinner you can try Crabcakes and there's Pete's for a huge breakfast. But we really enjoyed making the most of this house."

  • Beautiful home in a spectacular location

"We held a sibling reunion in this fantastic home. The location is just outside Mariposa Grove inside Yosemite National Park. The home was very clean and very modern with plenty of room for all. The deck was fantastic with a gorgeous view of Mt. Raymond. The property was lovely and we spent time each day walking to see its beauty. Overall a perfect location and the owners were great."

  • Lovely stay

"We've stayed in a number of VRBO large-size homes, and this one is not standard. The description was quite accurate (water in this fork of the Merced River had spring run-off) and the house is lovely, but it is really run by a nearby hotel and therefore is missing some things you've come to expect from VRBO homes, such as a printed information sheet (e.g., when is garbage collected, where by buy groceries), condiments left by previous renters (not even salt and pepper), but also no damage deposit or cleaning fee, no request to strip beds and start the laundry! Service is provided daily by the hotel people -- we didn't ask for room services though they were offered, but they did provide more soap, towels, etc. Entry is handicap-accessible and master suite is on main floor. There is no washer or dryer, no Internet, no cell phone, limited menu of cable TV stations. It's nearly as close as you can get while staying outside the park. Rates quite reasonable for value and space. We were quite satisfied."
