"We stayed at Oso Lodge during Christmas. It was 7 adults and 3 kids. It was perfect for our family. The lodge is in a GREAT location to see the whole park, it is centrally located within the park. Everything was very well kept, very clean and comfortable. Barbara is a joy to work with and is easily reachable via phone if you need her. We will be back!"

"This was the perfect house for us. We were a group of 12 people (5 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 kids) and 1 small dog. The house has enough rooms for all of us, and the bathrooms are huge. Beds are super comfortable, the house was clean and it has everything you need to cook. It has an awesome deck with a hot tub that the kids enjoyed multiple times a day. The house is located by the river and you can hear the water while you fall as sleep, very peaceful. The place is beautiful, all wood cabins, and friendly people. We took a trail that is 5 minutes away from the house, it takes you to the river where the river looks like a swimming pool. It was great, kids and dog were swimming and enjoying every minute. I will recommend this place to anybody that wants to spend some relaxing time at Yosemite, enjoy the views or get some workout done. There is a lot of hiking options from the house. The place has a store you can walk to that has pretty much everything you need. When we did the check-in they even had a welcome present for our dog, that was very nice. The morning we were leaving a deer came so close to the house that kids were petting him and we took close-up pictures. We had a blast. Yosemite Valley and Glacier point are only 30 minutes away by car."

"My spouse and I stayed at this cabin for 7 nights and it exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We realized we forgot to bring tupperware or sandwich bags to bring our food with us on our hikes, but fortunately these items were supplied in the cabin. The kitchen is well stocked (cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, dishes and utensils, basic spices) and there are a lot of toiletries in case you forget something, including bug spray and sunburn treatment. The grill worked great, we took advantage of eating outside and enjoying the garden, and we both slept comfortably. We had no issues with using the internet for web surfing and email. We did not have cell phone coverage at the cabin, but we had coverage at the top of the road that takes you to Foresta, parts of Yosemite Valley, and anytime we were near a ranger station. There is a phone at the cabin.
Yosemite NP is huuuge, so lots of driving is inevitable if you want to visit multiple areas of the park. Foresta is centrally located so that we were 75-90 minutes away from the most northern parts of the park we wanted to experience (Hetch Hetchy), and about 60-75 minutes from the southern most parts of the park we wanted to visit (Mariposa Groves). The drive to Yosemite Valley was less than 30 minutes. My spouse and I sampled a lot of Yosemite during our 6 full days there, and I didn't see any area I would prefer to stay over Foresta - again, considering that our goal was to get to a variety of regions of the park. It's also a great location if you're planning on spending a lot of time in Yosemite Valley but want to have your home base a little bit away from so many people when you want to relax in the evenings, as the Valley is quite busy and congested."

"We so loved this cabin! What a wonderful "home base" to explore Yosemite from! We hiked every day in different parts of the park and came back every day to the quiet and peacefulness of this cabin to make dinner and sit out on the deck looking at El Capitan in the distance. Just doesn't get much better. We were there in the summer so the valley was very busy....it was such a treat to come back to this immaculate cabin away from the crowds. The location is so nice, because it is close to everything. Mark and Noreen were wonderful hosts and were nearby to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone heading to Yosemite. You will love it!"
