"Love it! I've stayed in a number of home stays / vacation rentals in my travels around the world, and this is my favorite so far. A charming rustic cottage with all modern amenities, everything is included for a carefree getaway. The kids loved the loft, the hot tub, indoor & outdoor fireplaces. My wife & I loved the quiet street, with beautiful homes & nature all around. The owner & property manager were very helpful, and we have friends who are keen to rent this place on our recommendation. Thanks guys!! "Our family rented the cabin for my daughter's birthday. It was a little out of the way from the main street. The cabin was just like the photos. I would say our only complaints are 1. Ice machine is not working, 2. The lock on upstairs bathroom gets stuck and you can't open the bathroom door, 3. Not enough kitchen towels, bath towels or washcloths for 15 people. 4. Upon our arrival there were a lot of moths inside the cabin. I am not sure if that's because there are not screens on every window. 5. Video game was out of order (we closed laundry room door so the kids didn't notice). If the ice machine, lock on bathroom door fixed and more towels were added everything thing else was perfect. The furnishings, tvs, deck furniture, grill, jacuzzi and the view was awesome. There was plenty of beds to accommodate everyone. Having 4 flats screen tvs was enough to keep everyone happy. The kitchen was fully equipped. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back for another weekend getaway."Guest: Deborah R. "My family makes an annual winter visit to Big Bear Lake. We usually stay in a different place every year, however, after staying at the Royal Canadian Lodge with 3 other families over New Years, I'm not sure I want to stay anywhere else. It was absolutely beautiful, immaculately maintained and well-stocked. The managers were capable, friendly and helpful and I don't have a single complaint. And I usually can find something to complain about! While it is definitely pricey, it is absolutely worth every penny. I was initially concerned that is was northeast of the lake (we usually stay in moonridge near the slopes), but it proved to be convenient to everything (the town, the market, sledding spots, and Big Bear Mountain). We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to large groups, very large families, and anyone else seeking luxury in Big Bear!"Guest: Big Bear Traveler Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 30, 2014View listing
"Home Again was exactly what we needed. First of all, the location could not be better. It was under 10 mins to get to everything we wanted to do. Grocery store, Alpine slide, Mountain biking to name a few. We also took advantage of the close walks to the hiking trails right out the back door! As for the house itself, the pictures do not do it justice. The rooms were comfortable, and had everything you could need. The kitchen was perfect for staying in a cooking. The patio was a perfect setting for dinner and breakfast. Could not be happier! We will absolutely be back! The owner Tammy was extremely accommodating and overall just a very nice person to talk to! Cant wait for next time."Guest: Mari Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
